You decide to spend your day out in the vibrant sunshine it had been predicted that today would be great weather for picnics and hikes, it was pretty quiet outside not even a single person on the street, even Butch and Trevor were absent, you just assumed that everyone was either working or still asleep.
You kept off the hiking trails due to not being dressed for it and stuck to the paths of the street, you were hoping to bump into any friends along the way, you continue to walk for a few minutes before stopping at the local store for a drink, the hot sun was going to make you sweat at some point.
As you left you caught sight of one of your college friends just down the street so you hurry along to catch up "hey Jake, hey" you call out smiling a little.
"Hey Jay I didn't expect to see you here" Jake responded as he gave you a gentle pat on the back.
"I had nothing better to do so I thought I'd make use of the weather" you explain as you inhaled a few times to catch your breath.
"Man dude you really are unfit, stop pigging out on all the cakes" he said with a smirk.
"Yeah oink oink" you say in a sarcastic way to show that you weren't amused.
The both of you walk down the street catching up as you hadn't seen each other in some time due to Jake being away on holiday and then taking some additional time off, the banter and digs at each other continued in lighthearted jest until Jake had to depart home to help his dad with some chores.
You wave to Jake and look down to your watch and realize that you had spent about three hours with him "wow time sure does fly when you're having fun" you say to nobody before making your way home, you crack open the drink and chug it down, it had warmed up a little from being in your pocket so it didn't taste great.
You arrive home to find your mums car in the drive so you knew she was home early, you walk inside and call out "mum?" you don't get a response so you wander from room to room "hey mum you back early?" you call out again but like before there is no answer.
You begin to grow concerned and hurry out to the backyard thinking she might be sunbathing in this weather but she is nowhere to be seen, her absence plus the car in the drive was alarming, you began to consider calling the cops fearing the worst but something catches your attention before you can make such a decision.
