Heading downstream, Clara and Robby were certain they'd find other animals who had been changed into anthros like themselves, probably still reeling from the sudden change in form as well as the vast increase to their brainpower.
Eventually, they did come across another uplifted animal. A black stallion was sitting on a log, still looking at his new hands. Interestingly, this stallion was already wearing something, though in this case, he was wearing a bridle on his head and a saddle strapped to his back. The saddle should have slipped off of him when his torso changed shape, but he was still very broad. The stallion's muscles were as large, if not larger, than Robby's. His shoulders spread out to an impressive width and his pecs and abs looked like they were carved out of solid onyx. The muscles in his arms and legs look very strong, as was appropriate for a horse. Clara also noticed with great interest that his balls didn't look any smaller for his shift to a more humanoid form. It made her wonder about what his cock looked like.
As the two approached, the stallion's nostrils flared and he quickly stood up. "Whoa, whoa, easy there," said Clara, "We're not going to hurt you."
The stallion gave her a distrustful look and said, "You're a mountain lion..." He looked her up and down and said, "And yet...you're like me."
"Yes, we've all been changed by the water," said Robby, "We're more than animals now. We're bigger and smarter. We don't have to follow instinct anymore. And that includes preying on fellow sapient beings."
The stallion looked between the two altered predators and asked, "So you're not gonna try to eat me?"
"I think you're a little more than we can handle," said Clara, looking at the stallion's large muscles, "Besides, we already decided we're not going to eat any other changed animals. We thought of a couple of rules that our fellow changed animals could follow to be more civilized."
"You're trying to be civilized?" asked the stallion in confusion.
"Well, as civilized as possible," said Robby, "My name is Robert, but you can call me Robby. This is Clara. Do you have a name?"
The stallion gave a small snort and said, "Samson, most humans call me 'Sam'. I guess animals can call me that too."
"So, Sam, you wanna help us find more uplifted animals?" asked Robby.
"That sounds...interesting. But I probably ought to find Abigail first," said Sam.
"Who's Abigail?" asked Clara.
"She's my rider, my best friend really," said Sam, "She take cares of me the most back on the farm and we go riding together a lot. We were riding a while ago before we stopped so I can drink. When the changes happened, I was so confused I didn't even notice when Abby left. I'm not sure if she just wandered off before I drank or if she ran away when I started changing."
"Well, I'm sure we can find her and explain to her what happened," said Robby. He sniffed the area and could pick up a scent that was probably Abby's.
"What doe she look like?" asked Clara.
"Well, she's a human girl with light hair and darker eyes. She's about this tall and I think she's 13 now or something," said Sam.
"Light hair and darker eyes?" asked Clara skeptically.
"I only just got color vision," said Sam in an annoyed tone.
"I'm pretty sure we'll know her if we see her," said Robby, "Besides, we have her scent. We'll find her." With that, the three changed animals headed deeper into the woods to find Abby.
