As you try to puzzle through what it is that's bothering you, you decide that it's probably best to keep nursing. After all that's what newborn bear cubs are supposed to do. As you gentle drink that last thought snaps into your head. Is that what you are, a bear? The more you think about it the more true it seems and the harder it is to think of yourself as anything else. In fact, and you snuggle against your mother, thinking becomes difficult. After all what is there to think of? You're warm, safe and protected.
After you finishes having your fill you slip away from your mother, only to be guided gently back after you wander too far for her liking. You soon grow weary and drift off to sleep. Over the course of the next few months you grow quickly. Your eyes open, your body gets larger and you're able to follow your mother as the two of you fish and explore. The life of a bear is dangerous at times, but it's a joyful one and you wouldn't trade it in for any other life. Which is good, because you'll be a bear for the rest of your days.
