It was early to mid-afternoon when Frances was finished with her therapy session with the Stovall’s as she pulls into her driveway she notices Martha, William and Nate’s vehicle in the driveway. Knowing they are home Frances begins to walk over when she hears arguing coming from the back yard.
“I don’t care Kenya! It’s over between us,” Nate shouts; “I gave you your chance and you just strung me along.”
“Just listen to me Nate! Give me a chance,” Kenya pleading.
“My son answered you already,” William growls. Overhearing the argument as he was grading college papers he comes out to the back yard to see his son not happy to see the were-panthress harassing him. “I suggest you leave before I call the police,” William further growls.
Kenya is about to try another time to speak her mind when another person comes into view. Not krecognizing that the person is Frances Twist; Kenya decides to walk away and try to get Nate to listen to her another day. Both Nate and William pick up on Frances Twist’s scent and turn around.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to intrude,” Frances speaking; “I just got back from a counseling session and heard an argument.”
“It’s alright,” Nate huffs as he goes back to raking leaves; “I just hoped Kenya finally takes the hint after today. Its bad enough she tried to contact me through Eric last night, But to hide and wait for me at home?”
“That’s who I saw prowling about yesterday,” Frances shouts.
“What?” Both Nate and William say in unison.
Frances quickly explains the strange town car and a woman in a red dress peeking through the window of the Anderson house yesterday evening.
“That might explain why Kenya tried to use Eric to get me to contact her yesterday,” Nate thinking out loud.
“What,” William responds his blood starting to boil at the thought of another person harming Eric.
“She asked Eric to send me a message asking me to meet her where we first met,” Nate explaining; “I told Eric that if she was still there, to tell her its over between us and to let you know dad if she tried to approach him again. You would understand.”
William calming down after hearing what was just said has an oh-snap moment; “Oh Frances you want to talk me and Martha about something. Mike Lawson said so when he and Nate where here earlier.”
“It was in regards to the person I reported to the police prowling about her yesterday,” Frances answers; “The matter I just told you about.”
“Ah,” William responds; “Well that answers that then. I’d invite you in for coffee, but I have papers to grade and Martha as lesson plans to prepare for Monday.
“Oh did you not hear,” Frances states; “Benton knight had a press conference just recently. He intends to fund out of his own pocket and entirely new elementary school. I heard it on the radio on the way home.”
The hearing of Benton Knight’s name was like a bitter pill to William Anderson. After last night, slugging Benton in the face over his attacking Eric; William was in no mood to hear any new involving Benton. William just breathed a heavy sigh and walked back inside the house leaving a confused Frances and Nate Anderson in the backyard.
“Now what was that about,” Frances asks out loud.
“With all due respect Frances,” Nate speaks up; “my dad will tell you when he is ready. I wouldn’t poke that bear until then.”
“Does it involve Benton?” Frances ask.
“Yep,” Nate answers while continuing to rake the leaves.
'Now what happened last night with William and Benton,' Frances thinks to herself as she leaves the Anderson property.
William back inside walks toward his sound system and turns on the radio; Tuning into the local station he listens to what is in the news.
“This is Moon Lakes own DJ Woof here to give you a recap of the biggest news to come from a school. Benton Knight, the town’s local philanthropist made a huge announcement today. He intends to solve Moon Lake Elementary School’s problems; by get this, building a new school.”

‘Before the start of the next school year, there will be a new Elementary school built. No reusing old structure because of heritage status. This building will be one hundred percent new and its construction will be paid for out of my own pocket!’

William switches the radio off; his words towards Benton after being sucker punching him at the hospital ringing in his head.
’ Touch my son again and I’ll do more than blacken your eye!’
“That also includes my wife Benton”, he mumbles to himself as he get back to grading papers.
Frances leaves the Anderson back yard and heads inside her house to a strange and unfamiliar smell of a couple of felines. Concerned, she follows her nose and sees Samantha in the kitchen along with their adoptive son Ben, both cuddling soft kittens mewling and purring at the attention they are receiving. Samantha looks up to see Frances at the kitchen threshold.
“Sorry,” Samantha states; “While I did get your text, I just couldn’t wait. And when I saw these two darling beauties looking at me in the animal shelter I just couldn’t help myself.”
Frances sits down at the table and Ben hands her the kitten he was holding to her. Frances cradling the tiny ball of cute just smiles and coos, “hello little one; what is your name?”
