Mathew had finally picked up the courage to ask out his classmate, Ashton. Well, not quite. He'd asked the boy to come home with him after school. Ashton still had no idea that he was the center of most of Mathew's fantasies. Some of which were more than a little... interesting.
And now here he sat. On the edge of Mathew's bed. The collar of his shirt pulled up to hide his face a little. It was an adorable trait he had, emphasizing how shy he was. Ashton looked about awkwardly in search of a topic to talk about. Mathew could have sat and watched him nervously fidget for hours, but didn't want him to try to run off.
“What do you usually do after school?” Mathew asked. He wanted to get to know this silent angel better. They'd never even hung out at school before. Ashton was just too shy to get to know anyone. Mathew practically had to insist that he come home with him.
“Video games,” Ashton said quietly. Mathew frowned.
“Sorry. I don't have that much video games around. Ah, but hey, I did get some demo or something in the mail last week. Haven't tried it yet.” He rummaged around the clutter on his desk and found the CD, along with the odd hand held device that came with it. He put the CD into the computer and installed the game. He hoped it would be good. He needed to get an opening inn to confess his feelings for Ashton.
Ashton leaned as close to the computer desk as he could from the bedside, so that he could see what kind of game it was. The game opened to a whole bunch of icons and menus and sliding bars. At the top were two tabs that Mathew was surprised had his and Ashton's names on them. Mathew read some of the stats on the screen.
