Linda sprinted across the floor and leapt at the ring before I could make a move.
"Linda! You don't understand how to use it!" I shouted, trying to stop her.
"I wish he'd shrink again," she shouted, pointing at me.
Suddenly I felt the already enormous world around me grow again. I was now as small to Linda as, just moments ago, she had been to me. Carpet fibers were taller than I was and I shrank into them. Then, from above, a giant hand came down. It was Linda. She lifted me up, squeezing hard enough for it to hurt my ribs.
She could tell it hurt me and just looked down with anger.
"I guess you don't feel so big anymore" she taunted. "Now what was that you said about not being able to change me back? I wish that as long as I'm small, you're smaller."
"Please," I begged, "You have to undo my last wish. Everyone in the world is as small as you are."
"And grow you back again? I don't think so," she said.
"Wish for everyone but me then," I asked, "Think of all the people that are suddenly in serious danger. Airplane pilots or even people just driving cars."
"So something you did ended up hurting people? Big surprise there," she said, "I wish everyone except the man in my hand had not been shrunk."
I could only assume that it had worked.
"Now," she said squeezing me tighter, "Why don't you think real hard and tell me what I need to do to be my full size again?"
