As your metallic body parts are carried elsewhere, you feel a feeling of dread in you. Maybe it’s how agonizing the metallization felt. Maybe it’s how vulnerable you are right now. Maybe it’s how deceived you were when Bruno just decided to use you for his experiments. Whatever it is that makes you feel dreadful, you’re certainly angry that you were forced to go through this.
You try to struggle, but you couldn’t move an inch. You can’t even blink your eyes; in fact, you haven’t been blinking since the metallization process. As scary this feels to you, you barely can express it either through words or facial expressions.
“You can’t move right now because of the metal,” Bruno said to you as he put you down on a desk, “but once I reprogram your mind, you should be able to move like before.”
Wait, reprogram?
Your head is turned to the side as you can feel something sharp press against the side of your skull. It moves slowly back and forth in a steady rhythm, slowly cutting through your head. As much as it looks painful, you can’t feel a thing as you realize your nerves must’ve been destroyed while the metallization happened. Soon, your cranium is removed as your metallized brain is exposed.
Bruno carefully takes it out, ridding you of your ability to think or sense for a while. He quickly tinkers it by adding a few circuits, an upgraded memory unit, and a few connected wires. He then plugs a USB cord in the port he added to your brain and connects the other end to his computer where he can edit your memories.
“These memories will just clog up in here, unused,” Bruno mumbles to himself as he transfers your memories to a hard drive for safekeeping. Then, he uploads numerous programs to the empty brain, filling it with tasks and procedures that would make sense to you. Finally, he adds a wireless sender and receiver to your brain so that he can change the programs as he seems fit.
Placing back the modified brain back into your head, Bruno joins the cranium to your head by welding it. Then, he types a command into the keyboard to be sent to your brain. “@Core_Program activate,” it says.
Your eyes light up as you regain consciousness. You look around you and see Bruno, who’s typing away in his computer. You only look around aimlessly, waiting for a command to be sent to you.
“@Testbot14 say ‘Hello’,” Bruno typed into the old DOS interface and pressed Enter.
“Hello,” you say monotonously. You don’t feel anything right now; you feel neutral.
Bruno only looks at you with a grin on his face, a grin that meant success. He only sighs and laughs as he celebrates this triumphant trial. You could probably tell that you aren’t the first test subject to be reprogrammed.
“Oh man, holy shit,” Bruno says. “I finally did it, holy crap! Finally, I can pass this to my professor!”
His elation died down quick as he began to wonder what else he could do to you. The possibilities are numerous as he looked at you and your body parts. Holding your head and your neck, he connects the two. He begins piecing your body back together as your body is like a 3D jigsaw to him. After reassembling your body together, Bruno runs back to the computer to type in some more commands.
You move your legs forward and walk. It looks absolutely awkward as your upper body remains straight while your lower body only moves, but Bruno finds this to be an achievement. Then, your arm moves up and your fingers wiggle fluidly. Soon, you’re doing a whole lot of movements, which were just numerous tests to see if the programming was bug-free.
After you’ve been debugged, Bruno looks over your robotic body and ponders to himself.
“Now, what can I do with you…”
