Standing, Mary tentatively began to walk around her apartment. A multitude of smells assaulted her newly-sensitive nose, and she made a mental note to shampoo the carpets as soon as possible. Her nails clicked as she crossed onto the tiled floor of the kitchen, letting her nose lead her to the bowl of leftovers she'd put out for herself earlier. She pushed things around a bit, most of the wilted vegetables no longer appealing to her canine sensibilities. Discovering some chicken breast at the bottom of the bowl, she wolfed it down, leaving the rest of the food untouched.
Mary then trotted back into her living room, determined to relax and enjoy her time as a dog. Hopefully she could fall asleep and pass the night quickly, because she was really excited to spend the day with John tomorrow! She hopped up onto the couch, spinning in circles a few times before plopping down on the corner cushion in a fluttering mass of auburn fur. She gazed across the room and could see her reflection in the dark tv screen. It was still incredible to think that the cute dog she saw lying on her couch was actually her!
