Tom Herald stood in front of the clerk with a slightly shocked look on his face. He'd come here for answers on the mystery of Ulysses' tail. He got a few of the answers he was looking for, but he wasn't expecting to get asked to a dance with a girl he just met.
"You...want me to go to a dance...with you?," the reporter asked, trying to confirm what he heard.
"Yes, that's what I said," the clerk said, "Is something wrong?"
"What? Oh! No!," Tom said, coming back into reality, "Sorry, I just wasn't expecting for someone to ask me to a dance. You never gave me your name though."
"Oh! How rude of me!," the clerk said, blushing, "I'm Alice Stevens."
"It's nice to meet you Alice," Tom said, "I'm Tom Herald, and I'd love to go to the dance with you."
"That's great!," she said, grabbing a aticky note and a pen. She began to write something down on the sticky note before handing it to Tom. It had her phone number and address on it.
"Give me a call sometime," Alice said, smiling.
"I will," Tom said, "I'll see you at the dance. Can you call me later and tell me where it is? I'm kind of busy right now."
"Of course I can," Alice said, "I'll see you later handsome."
