After his brief chat with Samson Carter; Sheriff Cooper gets up from his office and walks past the meeting room. Seeing the duty officer passing out the days assignments; the sheriff stops by the coffee machine to grabs two cups of coffee. Walking to the holding cells, Sheriff Cooper sees his cousin pacing the cell back and forth.
“Brought you some coffee Alyssa;” Sheriff responds, placing the cup at the ledge of one of the bars.
“And what about the key, Douglas?” Alyssa grabbing the coffee; “the key to letting me out of this cell?”
“That’s not happening cousin,” Sheriff Cooper answers; “you are going to appear in front of a judge this morning to answer to your trespassing and break and entering charges.”
“Did I just hear you right Douglas,” Alyssa looking bewildered; “you’re having me charged?”
“You want your phone call to call your lawyer;” Sheriff Cooper asks.
“I don’t believe this,” Alyssa looking angry; “we’re family. We look out for each other.”
“What do you think I’ve been doing since I found out you were in town,” Sheriff Copper snapping back; “doing what I can within the bounds of my station to keep you out of trouble! All the times I dragged your ass from the frypan; all the warnings I gave you. I’ve done everything to keep you out of trouble. But you keep going out of your way to crashing into it head long!”
“I have needs cousin;” Alyssa responding.
“Well, guess what Alyssa,” Sheriff Cooper throwing his hands in the air; “I’m done bailing you out. Try as I might; I cannot get through to you whenever you have a sexual itch in need of scratching. So perhaps the judge will knock some sense into you.”
Sheriff Cooper leaves the holding cells; letting Alyssa slowly realize that she is indeed, in trouble for a change.

Heading back to his office; Douglas Cooper gets on the phone with the prosecutor to begin the procedure in having his cousin formally charged. Pulling out the photo of himself with his cousin from a few years back, when they both vacationed down in Louisiana and tried their paws at catfish noodling. Sheriff Cooper smiles as he remembers Alyssa getting a twenty pound catfish while he was unlucky; despite being a were-grizzly, all he got was an upset snapping turtle and nearly lost his paw in the process. The photo he was looking at was taken shortly after that day.
Putting the picture down; Sheriff Cooper was about to grab his Aspirin, when he had an ideal. Getting up he heads to the briefing room to see the duty officer has yet to finish doling out the assignments.
“Sorry to interrupt,” Sheriff Cooper barging in; “but has Samson Carter been given his assignment yet?”
“No,” the duty officer responds.
“Good,” Sheriff Cooper answers; turning to the assembled deputies the sheriff begins to speak; “Samson Carter! I have a special assignment for you.”
Samson, who was quietly listening to the proceedings, looks up as all eyes are now focused on him. Standing up, he sees the Sheriff addressing him. “Sir?”
“You will be escorting the prisoner in holding to the court house today,” Sheriff Cooper states; “and be careful. My cousin will do what she can to try and charm her way out of trouble. Do not fall for her whiles.”
“When is she required to appear sheriff,” Samson asking.
“As soon as the duty officer is finished doling out the assignments,” Sheriff Cooper answers. Looking at the duty officer, “floor is yours again.”
The Sheriff heads back to his office as he hears the duty officer once again start up again with his handing out the daily assignments.

Meanwhile at the Walker residence; Brian Walker was walking out of his room and into the kitchen for breakfast. Seeing is mother Emily silently eating her toast; Brian sighs as he knows she is still upset with him. Despite his best intentions; Brian was grounded for his actions. Brian knew that it could have been worse, had he not lied in regards to accepting money from Alyssa’s friend; officially making him a gigolo. Brian sighs as he quietly pours himself a bowl of cereal. Eating in silence; Emily finally looks at her son and finally speaks up.
“Brian, give me your cell phone.”
“But,” Brain tries to answer; yet is cut off.
“You’re phone,” Emily glaring; “Now!”
Brian reluctantly hands over his phone; “does this mean I’m not doing that janitorial job that Andrew Curry arraigned?”
Emily looking at her son; she purses her lips. “If I recall, Andrew or Racheal will be contacting both of us. So I will be seeing their message on my phone and on yours. I will call you on the house phone, because you will be coming straight home after school. You are grounded; for how long I still have yet to decide. Now finish your breakfast or you will be late for school.”
Brian resigned to whatever fate is in store for him silently shuffles upstairs when a sudden fear envelopes him. Betty; Alyssa’s friend texted him on the phone he just handed over to his mother. While he had the forethought to delete the message and his reply; Brian was worried that when Thursday comes and go, Betty will text him again and his mother will see the message; and possibly put him in real trouble for a change.
“Fuck,” Brian whispers; “If only I had the sense to set up a burner phone like Alyssa suggested.” Grabbing his back pack and heading back downstairs; Brian thinks to himself, ‘I got time to fix this. I just have to get a second phone and text Betty that the number she has is hot and not to use it to contact me. But when will I be able to get the time to do this?’ Brian continues mulling over the problem when the school bus arrives. Getting on it he takes his usual seat as thinks of a solution.
