Backtracking a little...
Claire Robertson and Barbara Masters made their way to the college the previous evening, and spent the night in Claire's dorm room. While the two were sleeping, Claire had a most unusual dream.
Claire was in a church of some kind, and she was dressed in a bright white dress. It appeared to be a wedding dress of some sort. She was standing before some large doors, and she could hear music playing behind them. It sounded like wedding music. "Ready to go?" a male voice asked her. She looked up at the man holding his arm out, and she took it, smiling and blushing at the same time. The doors opened up to see a wedding ceremony occurring. She could see a man as Ryan Connor standing at the altar, looking back and smiling happily. She felt her face blush red and couldn't help but smile back. The two made their way to the front of the chapel, and she took her place next to Ryan. She looked around the audience, and could see many members of the community present, and even her father and brothers. Although it had been a while since she last saw them, one of them looked very different from what she remembered, but she couldn't put her finger on it.
It was then that she noticed that although she was standing next to Ryan, the music was still playing. It was then she noticed a second woman dressed in white also walking down the aisle. Although it was just a dream, she was very confused as to what was going on? Wasn't she the bride? Why was this woman walking down? Who was she? Claire waited as the woman walked down, anxiety and anticipation building inside her. When the woman and her escort made it to the altar and took the opposite side of Ryan, Claire took a good look at her. It was hard to tell through the veil, but it appeared to be Barbara. 'What?' her thoughts seemed to echo in her head, 'What was going on? What is she doing here? This doesn't make any sense!'
And, before the dream continued, Claire shot up from her bed and looked at Barbara. What was that dream? Did it mean anything? Should she be worried?
Claire laid back down on her bed, but it was then that she noticed that dawn was breaking, and she had a busy day of makeup tests and paperwork ahead of her. She groaned and curled up into a little ball. She didn't want to face the day, but she had to press forward anyway.
