The guards though looking surprised, shake their heads as if they were in a trance and began moving closer to you, preparing to attack.
One of the guards swings his longsword toward you, this time however you were much more agile and dodged his sword easily. The other guard moved forward and also tried to slice you, you manage to do a rough parry with your dagger avoiding his blade as well.
You move backwards, and then with a iron grip on your dagger you lunge towards one of the guards. You use your dagger and manage to slice him across the face.
The man screams in pain as you drive your dagger across his face, feeling how your iron blade cuts flesh.
The man covers his face with his arm, staggering as blood start to flow from the cut, covering the lower portion of his face in red.
The other guard seeing this, attempts to tackle you, you feel a rough force push against you as you get thrown towards the ground, dropping your dagger in the process. You get temporarily disoriented on the ground until your vision quickly returns. You look up and see the guard who tackled you begin to raise his sword to do the finishing blow, you mange to roll away just in time as you feel the sword barely miss your white fur.
You roll away and get up, realizing you've lost your dagger, you figure you have to use your claws.
You snarl at the guard who tried to kill you and with your claws you attack the most vulnerable part of his body, his neck. You feel your sharp claws rip his neck open as he screams in agony. The man slumps to the floor, he layed unmoving in the dirt as a pool of blood forms around his neck.
The other guard that you had sliced with your dagger, saw the whole thing, his face was one of pure terror as he started running away, screaming. The merchants who had watched the entire scene unfold also ran away in fear.
You ignore them as you simply stand there, looking at the body of the person you just killed. Sure, it was in self defense, but you still killed him. Would he be the last? Or was he simply the first of thousands to come? You thought.
You pick up the dagger you lost and after grabbing your backpack, you keep moving north.
