It was curiosity that had made Recce Chung sign up for his first physics course, and it was curiosity that made Regina Chung leap through the portal now.

"OK" said Greta "You, Elizabeth, think all these problems are caused by social structures such as patriarchy and economic exploitation, and not by men per se, you, Jean, think its the fault of, quote, 'that evil little bastard the testosterone molecule.' I try to wish that I knew which one of you was right, and I only get answers like 'little of this, little of that' and 'It's complicated.' Apparently this thing really doesn't work as an oracle."
"So here's what I think should happen. We're going to try this for ten years--for the next ten years everyone will be female. We're going to see what happens. If at the end of that period, the world is a significantly happier place than it was with men, then we'll keep it that way. If not, then we'll gradually reintroduce men, but no second Great Change. In the meantime, Elizabeth, you can have your old body back if you want it, and just so you won't stick out like a sore thumb, the same offer is extended to all born-women who would prefer their old bodies. Personally, I like having a lot of pretty girls to look at, but fine."
Both Elizabeth and Jean were aware that Greta was the one with the ring, and ultimately what she said would be what would go. Jean was confident that given a fair trial, the Great Change would be the best thing to happen to humanity since fire, and Elizabeth knew that ultimately, she wasn't going to win the argument with Greta if her opponent was Greta's lover. Reason only gets you so far. "Alright" said Elizabeth. "OK" said Jean.
"Great" said Greta. "Now I have to figure out how to use wishes to solve climate change."
"What about Robbie?" asked Elizabeth.
"I wished to know about Robbie and you. You've pitied Robbie. You've consoled Robbie. You've given supportive hugs. Have you ever given Robbie since the change a single indication that you physically desire her?"
"Uh, no."
"Try it."
And Elizabeth found herself back in her own home.

"So you two are bound and determined to make this public?" asked the principal.
"Damn right" said Millie. "It's a new day. God is queer. Get used to it."
"OK. I'll protect you for as long as I can. You're both good workers."
Goddess, Juliana thought, it is such a turn-on when she's like this. Milton was such a doormat by comparison. I wonder if we can fit in a lunchtime quickie.

That wasn't so bad, Logan thought. Kind of nice. Not as messy as it was as a guy, although my hand smells weird. I wish Allison were here. It was the first time that he had thought of her with her new name.
