The Vials

Cheat Sheet

added by PaperSlap 8 years ago O

Mary was intrigued by the small box. It claimed to have "many vials", yet it was only about as large as a purse. Wanting to get a better look at it, she picked it up and carried it to the kitchen, where the counter could bring it closer to her. As she did so, the note that was attached to it slipped and fell on the floor. She set the box down and went to pick up the note. As she reached for it, the note unfolded itself. Immediately, Mary noticed something different about it. Opening the note completely, the message was entirely new!

"Thank-you for using the vials;
for additional instructions, please refold this note and press the button on the top of the box."

Mary, perplexed at the seemingly magic paper, followed its instructions. She folded the paper along its crease and pressed the button. Immediately, the first drawer on the box popped open and greeted Mary with about a dozen different vials. They were all the same size, but radically different colors. With no other instruction, Mary unfolded the paper again.

"This is the animal drawer.
Whenever you desire an animal related vial, simply close the drawer. When you open it again, the animal you wish will be among the dozen provided. Otherwise, opening the animal drawer will provide up to the twelfth last animal desired. Otherwise, it's content will be randomized.
Feel free to practice with the drawer.
Fold this note up again, close the drawer, and press the button again to continue."

Now a little excited, Mary decided to heed the notes instructions again. She closed the drawer, thought of a dog, and opened the drawer. Sure enough, after some searching, there was indeed a dog vial. As soon as Mary found it however, the vagueness of the term 'dog' dawned on her and she decided to test something. Replacing the vial, she closed the drawer, thought of a poodle, and opened it. To her delight, the dog vial remained, but now there was also a poodle vial. If she really wanted to, she could be as specific as she wanted to! She replaced the vial, and closed the drawer. She also folded the note again, and clicked the button once more.

A smaller drawer right below the larger animal drawer popped open, showing only eight vials. Mary opened the note again for explanation.

"This is the miscellaneous drawer.
Certain vials that do not belong to the other category are located here. A list giving information on each is below.

Gender - Both male and female gender vials are present here. Denoted by their respective symbols, consumption of any amount of the liquid will cause transformation to occur. Drink once to simply change. Drink a second time, or already be the required gender to enhance. Drink more to exaggerate.

Reality - Denoted by a five-pointed star, mixing this vial with any alter reality along with the subject to make their new condition to have always been. Any dosage will incur these effects. The subjects are not exempt from the reality modification.

Resist Reality - Denoted by a fractured five-pointed star, consuming this vial will provide the subject a complete physical and mental resistance to all changes in reality for twenty-four hours. The amount consumed provides the amount of time the resistance is active. After it wears off, the subject will not alter to the new reality changes unless they drink from the reality vial.

Virility - Denoted by the symbol of a heart, consuming this vial will increase the libido and hormones of the subject, enticing them to act more on their carnal desires. The effects are permanent, excluding changes that may occur in changing reality.

Humanity - Denoted by the symbol of a man, consuming this vial will make the subject human. Due to being an important vial, it has been separated from the other vials. Mixing this vial and any other animal vial will make the new created substance transform any subject into an anthropomorphic version of the animal in any amount ingested.

To continue, close the drawer, fold the paper, and press the button again."

Mary had sat down reading all this. Meanwhile, the butterflies in her stomach had turned into a raging fire of curiosity. She really wanted to try the vials out, but couldn't decide whether it would be best to finish the instructions or experiment now.
