"And here I am," Jessica announced with a smile on her lapine muzzle as she exited Judy's bathroom.
She was fairly pleased with her new form, as while she hadn't gained the full bust, hips, and amazonian build that Sarah and Abby had gained thanks to their getting double doses of the Animalia Virus, she did feel better and did notice that she had grown some. She also knew that from what Abby had told her, that "double dose" would only serve to speed up or reverse her aging, depending on her age and who she got the second dose from. Abby got hers from Samson who was an adult stallion, and thus Abby matured. Sarah got hers from Mary Alice, Malice, after Malice had gotten her second dose from some of the uplifted cattle's milk on the Brown farm, leading to both Malice and then Sarah maturing. That, however, didn't mean that Animalians that had only gotten a single dose weren't as well built as Abby and Sarah were. In fact, Abby had told her friends that the other mares had all only gotten one dose, and they were all as well built as Abby was. That gave Jessica some confidence that while she'd have to go through puberty, she would mature into a busty amazonian anthro-rabbit to match Judy.
As she emerged from the bathroom she found Judy patiently waiting for her and that gave Jessica a chance to check their physical differences. Judy was probably a Mountain Cottontail, the most common rabbit species in the general area, based on the fact that she'd mentioned living in a burrow before she was uplifted. However, Jessica also figured that somewhere in Judy there was also some DNA that had had to have come from some domesticated rabbit as well, to explain Jessica's white fur coloration. As while Abby didn't become a black furred mare in her transformation, the color of her fur still existed within multiple horse breeds, and Sarah's black and white coloration seemed to be based on her hair color, which also fit within the standard coloration for the Siberian Husky. Sarah said that her mother was more of a brown and white color, but that the coloration ALSO fit within the color variations with in the Siberian Husky as a breed.
Mountain Cottontails, however, were generally a brownish gray or grayish brown and weren't known for being all white. In the wild, THAT appeared in related lapine animals like the Snowshoe Hare, which changed color between brown and white depending on the season. Mountain Cottontails didn't go through that, which meant that somewhere in Judy's family tree, there was a white domesticated rabbit that had gotten lose and Jessica had picked up THAT coloration. Not that Jessica was complaining. She actually liked it.
"Yes, here you are," Judy answered, "a new, and apparently happy, Lagomorph..."
"Huh?" Jessica paused, "I thought rabbits were rodents... Part of why I did this was so that I could still be friends with a former pet hamster and let him be assured that he can be comfortable around me."
"Lagomorphs, rabbits, hares, and pikas are similar to rodents, but not quite," Judy explained with a smile, "We have four incisors on the upper jaw. Rodents only have two. Our teeth have enamel on the front and back, rodents only have it on the front. We are also strict herbivores. Many rodents are actually omnivorous. Our incisors do grow throughout our lives, so you will need to gnaw on something hard periodically... most seeds work well if you're looking for food... and particularly HARD seeds, but if you have access to some wood like material, that could work fine as well."
A lot of what Judy explained flew over Jessica's head. "How...?"
"My old burrow was near where the lab is... and the scientists there talked a lot about their work," Judy replied, "and when I was uplifted... I felt very curious about their work and wanted to help. I've been working with a lot of their present projects now that the Animalia Virus is out in terms of seeing just how strong and fast we are and what they're doing to see if they can make us a bit less infectious to others... so that when you have your own children, you can nurse them."
An image of an older Jessica with a little baby bunny nursing from her breasts flashed through Jessica's mind.
"That'd sound nice, but I think that'll wait until I'm older," Jessica commented, "I don't want my parents to freak out any more than they already have over my decision to become an Animalian."
"They did accept it, right?" Judy asked as Jessica walked over to near the front door was and picked up her backpack, "the paperwork I'd gotten from the lab, the government, and the Animalian City Council all showed that they accepted."
Jessica nodded as she fished out the paperwork that both she and Judy would need to sign to finish everything and to be in accordance with the regulations that were there for the willful transformation into an Animalian. As she turned back to Judy, feeling the paper with the pink pads in her paw like hands, she nodded.
"Yeah, they did accept it... but that didn't necessarily mean they were overly enthusiastic about it," Jessica answered, "and that's good. They'll get used to the new me and will see that I'm still me and my former pet and I can hopefully be good friends. Rabbits and hamsters get along, right?"
"I see no reason why not," Judy answered, as she accepted the papers and pen from Jessica and signed the papers on the line marked "donor."
"Thank you... for everything," Jessica said to her.
"It's no problem," Judy answered.
