Jeff noticed his Cat had been chasing the mouse in the cubbyhole for some time, now. So he decided to experiment on how the relationship between Cat and Mouse changes over countless millenia of growth and change. Setting the emitter to evolve forward by only a small percentage, Jeff aimed the emitter and fired at the little mouse, causing it to shutter as the changes began.
Jeff's eyes widened as he realized the mouse had grown much bigger in just seconds. He let go of the trigger of the emitter and leaned in for a closer look. The bigger mouse had changed quite a bit, on further inspection. What once was a measily seven inches has shot to twenty-one. The fur had become a lot more fluffy with the exception of the bristled hair on the top of the mouse's scalp. The tail had grown longer and even thicker, giving it the appearance of a prehensile tail. It's legs were longer than the cat's and the teeth were sharper, it looked to be an equal rival to the cat.
"Whoa..." Jeff blinked. "It... it worked."
