Harold woke up to see "6:00" glaring at him on his alarm clock. He groaned a little and said to himself, "Time to face the world." He then slowly picked himself up off of the bed. He stumbled his way to his daughter's room and saw her sleeping peacefully. He noticed the pamphlet that Samantha left before gently shaking Mel awake. "Mel, time to get up. You have school."
She groaned as she turned away from her dad as she cried out, "It's too early."
"I know, dear, but you don't want to be late to school." He then eyed the pamphlet again and said, "Doing some late night reading?"
"I was just curious. I mean, how often do you move into a town full of were creatures?"
"I suppose I'd be curious too if I were you and your age." He looked at the pamphlet again and said, "Reminds me that I need to speak to Dean about this."
"Well," Mel said as she slowly got out of bed, "You have your things and I have mine. Frankly, I'd like to stay home today, but there's no point in holding it off, is there?"
Harold smiled and said, "That's my girl. Get ready to go, and I'll meet you downstairs in an hour."
"'kay, dad," Mel started as she stumbled her way to the bathroom. Harold smiled at her as he made his way to his bedroom to prepare for his day.

After some time, both of them were ready for school, and they climbed into Harold's car. "Ready to go?" Harold said as he buckled his seatbelt.
"Not really, but ready or not, here I come," Melissa said as she rolled her eyes and looked out the window.
The two didn't say much as he drove to the high school. It wasn't long before the car was parked in front of the school. "We're here," Harold announced.
"So we are," Melissa said, taking a deep breath. The butterflies in her stomach were fluttering a bit too high for her comfort.
"You know what to do, right?" Harold asked.
"Go to the office, find out my schedule, find my class, and just observe things. You told me a million times already," Mel said, with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
"And stay safe," Harold added. "I want you still normal by the time you get out of school."
"Darn, I was hoping to get my were shot while I was at it," she replied, a smirk on her face.
Harold frowned at her and said, "I'm serious. We still don't know what we're dealing with here, and I don't want anything bad happening to you."
The smirk on Melissa's face disappeared and she said, "I know. I'm a little scared too. I love you, dad."
"I love you too, sweetheart," Harold replied as Melissa gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and a hug before getting out of the car.
As Harold drove away, she looked up at the high school and said to herself, "Mel, what have you gotten yourself into?"
Meanwhile, while Melissa was heading into the school, Harold drove to the college. His first stop was to visit with Dean about this town.
