While you slept in a deep sleep, the seed was far from inactive. It started glowing a soft green light, not from bioluminescence or heat but from something far more mystical. Something that science alone couldn't answer.
Then the green light suddenly stopped for a moment. Then it glew again, not only glowing green but two other colors as well. Orange and Purple. The now multicolor glowing seed then started rolling and shifting all by itself. The once impenetrable shell the seed resided in broke in a loud crack, and from that crack, the seed's contacts spilled out all over your bedside table.
Strange black tendrils reached out into the earth air, still unuse to the alien atmosphere but then suddenly adjusted and crawled out completely.
Still asleep to had no idea that the tendrils belonged to a alien semi-magical plant symbiote that had just escaped the near extinction of another symbiote race.
The symbiote suddenly converged and split into three smaller symbiotes. One Green, one Blue, One Purple.
The three symbiotes using their tendrils made their way off your night stand and outside your home into the wilderness where they will begin the process of finding DNA.
After each gathering DNA from a different specimen the symbiotes will converge back into the original black symbiote and then bond with the sleeping person sleeping on the bed of the cottage it had hatched at.
