"Hey! I said what the fuck are you staring at, Ty?" Dustin growled in annoyance, giving the smaller teen a shove that knocked him back into the shower wall with a thud.
Ty's eyes widened and he realized he had been day dreaming. He said nothing, fresh fear in his eyes, and began to shake as Dustin berated him. It had felt so real to him, like he had actually shrunk his step brother and then watched from the stairs, but it wasn't.
"You always were a little faggot." Dustin finished, laughing, and finally left Ty alone, naked and afraid in the shower. Mark was going to hear about this for sure.
Ty spent only a few minutes in the shower, quickly rushing to dry and get dressed. He hurried down to find Mark and Dustin whispering to each other, which stopped when Ty arrived.
"Sit down and eat." Mark said firmly. "You and I will be talking later."
"Y-Yes, sir." Ty whispered, and sat down to eat breakfast.
It was weirder than usual. Ty couldn't shake the vision of Dustin growing young from his mind. To his internal horror he realized it had kind of turned him on. Please don't get a boner, he thought, not here and not now. So he concentrated on anything else as he stared at his plate and gobbled up breakfast in silence.
"Ty..." June suddenly said. "Mark has to run in to work and I've got to go see a friend today. Can we trust you to get the yard done?"
"Y-Yes, ma'am." Ty said meekly, feeling the burning gaze of Mark on him."
"Thank you, son." June said simply.
June has always been just a little better than the other two, and Ty always wondered if she actually cared about him. It was hard to tell from the way she acted, but when Mark and Dustin weren't around Ty had always held fond memories of how kind June had been to him.
As breakfast finished, Ty instinctually rose to collect the dishes. Something felt strange inside of him, like an excitement he had never felt before, and it confused him.
As Mark left in his truck and Dustin screamed away to go to his girlfriend's in a hot Camaro, Ty was momentarily left with June.
Normally, she would've been gone with the two men, but today June hung back and entered the kitchen still in her nightie and robe. She stared at Ty, doing the dishes, and smiled warmly.
"Happy birthday, love. I didn't forget."
Ty turned to regard his step mom and his eyes widened. She had never taken that tone of voice with him, so gentle, loving.
"I already got you a present, but you don't know it just yet. What if I told you that you have a very special talent?"
The weird feeling intensified, Ty's body began to shake, and he stared at June in confusion and curiosity.
"I can change things." He said softly, as if the knowledge had been imparted to him. It sounded insane.
"Yes." June smiled, nodding slowly. "That's right. I want to show you something."
