Author's Note: This is just a copy of makutamon's chapter. Since neither this chapter or the other are mutually exclusive, I'm just tacking both onto the end of each other until someone deletes one thread. There are a few spelling/grammar corrections as well.
Jessica was having a bit of a hard time finding Judy, but she met someone she didn't expect. He was hanging around by the private "changing rooms" where people who wanted to use today as a chance to join Animalia. He was a rabbit Animalian with dark brown fur, and judging by the fact that he had no human-like hair on his head, he had started out as an ordinary rabbit. When she first saw him, her heart skipped a beat. When she got over to talk to him, he only noticed her when she was up close to her, and judging by his reaction, his heart had also skipped a beat.
"Um... Hey." he said, a little shyly.
"Hey," said Jessica, also a little shyly, "Are you new here? I'm Jessica."
"Yeah," said the male rabbit, "And I'm Roger."
"Seriously?" asked Jessica, the awkwardness wearing of in a near instant, "Your name is Roger?"
"Hey!" Roger said, holding up his hands in an instant, "That's just what my boy named me!"
"Your boy?" asked Jessica, "Might I know him?"
"His name is Codey Lightfoot." said Roger.
"Codey?" asked Jessica "You mean that nerd who wants to be a 'badass martial artist', as he puts it?"
"The very same." said Roger, "He likes to watch old martial arts movies and practically has every single Power Ranger episode in an 'archive' on iTunes, as he puts it. He always liked to keep me with him while he watches them."
After talking for a while, Jessica learned that Codey was a bit more than the martial arts nerd she thought him to be. He was also had a taste of selfless heroism. Both the love of martial arts and selfless heroism had rubbed off on Roger a bit.

"So why are you here?" asked Jessica some time later.
"I'm here to serve as a guide for a Japanese immigrant family that moved here a week before the Animalia virus outbreak."
"Really?" asked Jessica, "Who is it?"
"The Shikamatsu family." answered Roger.
"Is there anything I should know about them?" asked Jessica, not wanting to be too nosy.
"Mr. Shikamatsu is a direct descendant from a real ninja clan, but he was also trained at the Peking Opera House." began Roger, "Mrs. Shikamatsu is a direct descendant from a legendary samurai clan, but she is also a trained Shaolin martial artist, but was forced to drop out of competition after being diagnosed with a rare, but potentially lethal heart defect. They met at a co-ed Ninja Warrior competition."
"Really?" asked Jessica, having seen the show on G4 once while channel surfing.
"Yes," replied Roger, "They also have a daughter named Michiko and a pet rabbit named Yumi Usagi. Yumi was uplifted and double-dosed during the Lyre Outbreak."
"What did the parents think about it?" asked Jessica, hoping for the best.
"Actually, Mrs. Shikamatsu wanted to become double-dosed from Yumi, hoping that it would cure her of her heart condition." answered Roger, "Mr. Shikamatsu wasn't so big on it, but he went along with his wife. Michiko also wanted to join because she wanted a sister since her mother's heart condition makes it rather difficult to have another without risking a dangerous heart attack."
"Oh." said Jessica, "And did it work?" she asked.
"That's what Judy and the other scientists are finding out now." Said Roger, indicating the door beside him.

When the "new" Shikamatsu family came out of the office, Jessica was surprised. They were all a little taller than Judy, and way more muscular, though that might have been because of their training, but it also had to do with the fact that the whole family had undergone "total conversion" as it was called. They also all had different markings on their fur, although they were all black and white. Mrs. Shikamatsu had a mostly white body with black ears, and a pattern of black splotches on her back. Mr. Shikamatsu had a mostly white body with black arms and legs. Michiko had a mostly white body with a large patch of black on the front of her torso. Yumi had a white body and arms with black ears and black legs, but there was also a black crescent mark around her right eye. Talking with Judy, Jessica learned that Mrs. Shikamatsu's heart condition had been completely cured, and this was the precursor test to the "limb regeneration test". Mr. and Mrs. Shikamatsu had also planned to get in contact with some old martial arts masters to see what they thought about becoming double-dosed Animalians and creating a martial arts school in Animalia, much to the delight of Codey. Also, Michiko and Yumi weren't interested in meeting boys, just yet, so Roger was "available" for Jessica, so to speak.
