Moon Lake, Andersons: Perspectives

added by The Masked Writer 6 years ago O

"Okay class," began the professor, at the start of Karen Yuletide's 6 pm art class that Monday night. "As you can see, I've arranged what appears to be a very simple still life for you to draw tonight," as he pointed out a couple of Styrofoam cubes, cones, and other basic shapes. "But the reason for the simplicity of the objects is that every 5 minutes I will be changing the perspective of the presentation. The base of the table rotates," he demonstrated, while wiggling the structure briefly, "which changes the shading because the light angles from the lamps I've placed around the room will be altered. Provided you can even see any from your position, you do not have to draw the lamps. What I want you to concentrate on is perspectives from your position, especially in regards to light and shading as I rotate the still life. Label your first drawing Starting perspective, and I will be changing the presentation in 5 minutes. Begin."

"I'm probably stating the obvious, but Moon Lake is SO different from Minnesota, even without Were Society in the equation," began John Lyons, standing next to William Anderson as he finished grilling steaks.
"I must agree," said William, while flipping steaks over. "The town is small and quaint, and for the most part very nice and quiet, like something out of an old TV show or movie. Yet, when Samantha Twist first visited us and revealed that one member of our family would have to comply with the Mandatory Were Law, all of us were shocked, except for my oldest son Nate. He jumped at the chance to fulfill his obsession with werewolves."
"Really?" replied John. "Actually, when Twist first visited us about that, Nellie and I looked at each other and then said to her, You've got to be kidding. There is no such thing."
"Then she changed into a werecat before your eyes, right?" wondered William.
"Yep," confirmed John. "Then, considering I'm a science fiction fan and Nellie loves fantasy novels, it was just a question of what to become for us."
"Actually, with Nate fulfilling the requirement, it was different for us. We thought he'd be it and it'd all be over," admitted William.
"Yet from what you told me earlier, each of you are a different were," said John, scratching his head in confusion.
"My transformation wasn't by choice, but I've come to embrace my fursona and the werefox life/soul mate bond has really helped my marriage."
"Wait a second... Yvette Smith?" asked John, recalling news of the past.
"Yes," confirmed William, "and the less said about that bitch the better," he whispered to John. "Then Martha, between realizing that she would have to become a were if we were ever to be intimate again and finally acknowledging she was bi, became a werecat at the Twists paws."
"Wait. Do you mean Samantha or her wife Frances?"
"Both," revealed William. "They live right next door and the three of them get together on a regular basis. Then Eric just became a were-merman over this past weekend to be with the girl he loves."
"Love is definitely a great reason to become a were," agreed John Lyons. "And the sex between Nellie and I has never been better," he whispered, to which William Anderson nodded in agreement. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking, besides Martha being bi and she and Nellie... reconnecting, how open is your marriage?"
"Martha has started sharing her ladies that are open to being with another man with me, but for whatever reasons, she has yet to be with another man herself. Why?"
"It's just that both Nellie and I are swingers. We found Minnesota... repressive to that life style, which is why we left, although the reason we picked Moon Lake was because it was cheaper here than living in Seattle, which is where we were hoping to make the scene before discovering weres existed, let alone how much higher their libidos are."
"I see," said William. "We moved for different reasons. Change of scenery. Fresh start. Wanting something different, although naturally we didn't discover weres existed until Samantha Twist's visit," he added, not mentioning being fired for getting a co-ed pregnant and forced to relocate to Moon Lake because it had the only college that was willing to hire him at the time.
"I know what you mean. Moon Lake is a great place to raise a family, especially now that we have such rambunctious daughters to raise. We have totally fallen in love with the town and can't picture ourselves being anywhere else than here, but Nellie and I do still swing on a regular basis."
"The subject hasn't come up since Martha became a werecat, but I can't picture us living anywhere else either," agreed William.
Then Lyons paused before adding, "I must be honest with you that Martha looks even better now than she did back in Minnesota. If the two of you are ever willing to switch partners for a while..." offered John.
"That's something I'll have to talk to Martha about privately. Now I better get these steaks inside. I'm sure our ladies are starting to get hungry," said William, loading the last of them on a serving platter.

"Okay class. Pencils down. I'm rotating the table. Now start drawing again," announced the professor.

"So. Must be quite a surprise to discover someone you knew back in Minnesota is living here now, let alone are weres too," said Alex Ramsey, once he and his boyfriend Nate Anderson were on the other side of the hill and heading to the backdoor of his house.
"Yeah, but they're my folks friends. I barely remember them," admitted Nate. "You heard Mrs. Lyons. Eric was still crawling around in diapers when they moved."
"Do you miss it?" asked Alex.
"Minnesota? Haven't really thought about it much," replied Nate. "Been too much going on around here since we arrived. Fighting a rogue werevixen. Becoming a werewolf. Finding love..." he added, while putting an arm around Alex.
"You know," began Alex, stopping to look at Nate. "If you ever were to move, I'd miss you something terribly."
"The only time I might ever move is to be closer to you, provided you ever left Moon Lake," said Nate, drawing him closer.
"I'm Moon Lake born and bred. The only other place I'd ever want to be is wherever you are Stud," replied Alex, using his pet name for Nate.
"Then I'm right where I want to be. Glad we got that worked out Handsome," said Nate with a smile, before giving Alex a passionate kiss. "Later?"
"Definitely!" answered Alex, after their lips parted.
