Mom and Steve had an pleasant morning discussing the women in the family, and mom brushed Steve's hair which she really enjoyed. Before they realized it, the school bus was already driving by and they both panicked suddenly reminded that they both have things to do today.
Frantically, Steve threw on a hoodie and pants while his mom got dressed for work and grabbed her purse. The school was in the opposite direction of work and both were going to be late, when arriving at school Steve realized they didn't have time for breakfast and asked for some money for breakfast and lunch. Mom realized Steve didn't take her pills and cursed, She didn't have time to grab them and come back.
Throughout the school day Steve was a wreck. His body had processed all the drugs his mom had given him and his hormone balance was anything but balanced. She was hot, then cold, then depressed, then hot, the insanely irritated by the window creaking when the wind blew, a constant headache, bloating... and this went on all throughout the day.
She didn't spend time with the other kids as too much was going on inside of her. It was all very overwhelming and was honestly one of the worst days she could remember having. She felt like everything was two octaves higher and her emotions were looking for any reason to explode out from her; like how the speckles in the linoleum tile reminded her of her grandmas counter top, and it has been months since she saw her grandma, and old people could die without warning for a number of reasons.
Slowly, it dawned on her around lunch time that she never needed drugs to feel normal before and if this is what it feels like to be a girl she isn't too thrilled. By 2 o'clock she remembered that she never really wanted to be a girl in the first place, her mom forced this on her and the drugs were still in her system messing with her brain making her more accepting of it.
By 4 o'clock she was scared of his mom getting home first and forcing her to eat more of the pills, turning her into a girl forever. A car pulls up.
