Anton and Marlysa's wedding was way bigger than anyone ever anticipated, Animalia or otherwise.
---
Anton and Marlysa arriving by Animalia Airlines, effectively a small business that dealt with private airline flights, was greeted as though the couple were rich billionaires or movie stars. As it turned out later, Anton was the most "popular" of the competitive bodybuilder circuit, and many of his old fans, mainly ladies who were teenagers during the 90s, had come to see him again.
---
Another surprise was that Phil Colins from Disney would be providing the music. "Traditional" wedding music wouldn't do for something that was both a mourning service for Joyce Williams, Anton's remarriage, and the first marriage between a "converted" human and an uplifted iguana, which was something big for Animalia.
The third surprise was that a traditional wedding chapel in Las Vegas was retrofitted to be modular for various themed "ecosystems". This was the chapel that was used, set to a rainforest theme.
The final surprise was that various national newsgroups were present to record the event. After all, it wasn't every day that the groom would get married in his old competition posing shorts and a bow tie and detachable cuffs, while the bride would get married in a heavily modified, strapless wedding dress that only came down to her knees anyway, not to mention that the dress had several decorative holes in it.
What was surprising to the media was that Animalians tended to wear less clothing than normal people. The main example was that enough skin was covered to preserve modesty, but also were skimpy enough to provoke lustful images in many a head later. Many Animalian tops and/or other clothing didn't have sleeves, to make room for large, muscular arms and shoulders. Low-cut bottoms or bottoms with special holes to make room for tails were also worn, and were often short enough to flaunt a lot of leg.

The ceremony was also anything but traditional. The music chosen was from the Disney adaptation of Tarzan, while interpretive dance of both the music and Anton's life leading up to this moment was performed. It began with Anton's time with Joyce, played along to the opening version of "Two Worlds", with Anton losing his wife synced to when Kala loses her child. The final verse of the song was done when Anton and a feral Marlysa meet for the first time. The early years between Anton and Marlysa was done along to the song "You'll be in my heart". Marlysa's uplifting and Anton's conversion, and their time together leading up to this was done along to the song "Son of Man". The oaths and exchange of rings was done after the song "Strangers like Me", where Marlysa had a brief adjustment to the human world. The ceremony concluded with the ending version of "Two Worlds". The reception afterwards was another set of revelations. Mainly, while herbivores couldn't eat meat and vice versa, they still could eat certain grains, dairy products, and alternative sources of protein (for herbivores, for example). Also, certain kinds of fats, oils, and sweets simply couldn't be eaten. Sweets made from all-natural ingredients, with nothing artificial in them could be eaten, those that did have artificial, as well as anything that simply could not be eaten by Animalians, were often vomited back up after a day or two. While alarming at first, it would eventually become as normal as hangovers were to humans.
When asked about the music choices he made, Phil Colins said that "Animalia is the living incarnation of 'Two Worlds', those worlds being the human and animal worlds."

Marlysa had gone into heat a day or two before the wedding, but thanks to the discipline taught to her by her new husband, she was able to keep it bottled in until they got back to Animalia. As soon as they got back, again by private plane, they immediately check in to Lovers' Woods to deal with it.
