{{Between hard work and a bad cold, just now making the Inter-dimensional trip to Moon Lake. Will try to catch up on all my contribution responsibilities over the next couple of days.—tmw.}}
"Eric we just got off work," Julie Anderson (nee Stovall) said, as she started putting her stuff down on the kitchen counter of their home. "Don't you want to snuggle?"
"Yes, but we can do it in the den. NASA's holding a live stream viewing of their latest satellite launch, and we're at T-minus 10 minutes," he replied, while glancing at his watch. "It's Tachibana Industries' first and I, along with a whole lot of other people, put a lot of work into it," said her husband proudly, as she followed him into the den.
But as Eric turned on his computer, what greeted him was not what he expected.
"Good Morning Moon Lake! This is radio station KMLC, Moon Lake College Radio. It's 6 in the morning and here are the top stories to start your Tuesday..."
Groggily, he reached over and hit the off button on the clock radio. Then Eric took stock of his situation.
Not only was he intimately hugging his spare pillow as if it were his fiance, but sometime during the night Eric discovered he had somehow inadvertently shifted into his Stage 3 were-mer form: with complete tail.
Man, do I miss her, he admitted to himself, while watching his legs separate as his blue-green scales faded back under his normal looking human skin. Maybe next semester we'll get lucky and actually have a class together, but I better start getting ready for school so I can see Julie at all today.
ACROSS THE HALL...
Having different tastes in music, a furry paw reached out and turned off Nate Anderson's clock radio as the opening notes to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" started to play. With that, a large werewolf got out of bed, but it was a normal size human teenager that put on his bathrobe and started stumbling to the hall bathroom of the Anderson's house to answer nature call.
Don't know if I'll be able to give Eric and Julie another dance lesson today, depending upon when Alex wants to start our date this evening. Then again, not having any idea what he has planned, I can at least hope for how the evening will end... he thought with a smile, as he closed the bathroom door behind him for a few minutes of privacy.
NEXT DOOR...
"Do we have any aspirin?" Samantha Twist asked her wife.
"There's none in the medicine cabinet?" Frances Twist asked in return.
"I wouldn't be asking if there was," one married lesbian werecat pointed out to the other.
"I'll go look in the storage closest dear," said Frances, as the feline stalked into the hallway. Searching the shelf above the linens in the little side chamber, Doctor Twist realized, Samantha's worried about the town, the Harper/Jenkins wedding, and all the problems this Dieter Wilhelm and Jenny's family are bringing. Depending upon how it all turns out, I'm going to insist as both a professional therapist and her wife that she take a couple of days rest afterward. Maybe I'll just lay in a bunch of supplies, we take the phone off the hook, and pretend the outside world doesn't exist for a while, thought Frances, as her feline tail twitched in anticipation of spending that time alone with her wife.
But Samantha Twist was not the only one worried about future events, for Harry Jenkins awoke to the sound of his fiance crying in her sleep...
