Kevin rubbed his eyes for a moment, not sure if he was seeing this for real or not. The person holding the sign was... not a person. In fact, if he hadn't looked down a little, he might have missed her. Was this Kayla?
A toon bunny was only about three or four feet talk at best, she was just so short! And, well, cute too, but that was a little irrelevant at the moment. And dressed in a little yellow sundress to offset her grey-white fur to boot too. Once Kevin met her pretty icy blue eyes with his, she was bouncing with joy. She ran- or rather, hopped- over to you quickly and now, he could really see the height difference now. Instantly, he felt a tall for the first time in your own life at five six. She barely came up to his chest, if that even.
The two of them exchanged nervous glances as Kayla started to fidget with the sign that was now folded over her chest. It was clear that neither of them were sure how to begin, and it made the silence even more uncomfortable. Finally, Kevin decided to break the ice.
"Um... Hi."
"Hey..."
Progress! Now, how to move on past this? Might as well go for the obvious.
"So, did you wanna meet here in Toon Town because of this?"
Kayla blushed a little, looking away for a moment, "W-Well, um... Actually..." She sighed, reaching out her cute little paw towards your hand, "You mind if we talk about this at my place?"
"Your place?" Kevin blinked a few times as he took her paw gently, "You, uh, live here?"
"If I say yes, are you gonna freak out?" Kayla asked him back.
"No, I mean... I'm just kinda confused," Kevin explained as his friend decided to take the lead. After all, she obviously knew where she was going.
"Sorry," Kayla sighed, showing him out to the city proper and to a taxi cab. In fact, it kinda looked like one Kevin recalled from a show he watched once or twice as a kid. Not that the bunny seemed to draw attention to this, "You know I hate lying to you, right? I was just, you know... nervous about meeting you and I figured since you're a normie, you might not take it so well that I'm a-"
"Cartoon?" Kevin finished for her.
Kayla blushed a little, "Well, yeah... I mean, I knew you liked toons already! But I wasn't sure how you'd feel about me being one. Especially with how I... felt about you."
"Kayla... You didn't have to lie to me," Kevin exhaled a little as they reached the taxi and he placed his things into the back of the trunk. With his free hand, he patted the top of her head with a smile, "Come on, you know I'm not the type to judge! Besides, I think it's kinda awesome that you're a toon!"
With her foot tapping lightly on the payment, Kayla smiled back up at him, "You mean that?"
"Of course!" Kevin grinned as the two entered the cab, "So, is there anything else you might wanna tell me?"
Kayla giggled a little as she blushed, "Um, well..."
