Ken watched as Veronica scribbled away in the book turning to multiple sections and writing a few lines in each. When he tried to sneak a peak Veronica was fast to thwart his attempt and flashing a mischievous smile she said
“Now, now little brother it's not fair if you know whats coming for you.
This punishment might be more sweet than it is sour. And that’s why the fear of not knowing what this week has in store for you is your real punishment.”
Feeling this was a battle he could not win Ken resigned himself to his sisters armchair and his attention to his smart-phone while Veronica mirthfully scribbled down his “punishment” in the book.
After roughly ten to fifteen minutes she triumphantly closed the book with a slam. A second later-
*Pooof*
The book disappeared.
Ken's eyes went wide. And he started stuttering.
“Chill, I just made it so that it will reappear in a weak so that neither of us gets cold feet, you see I have no idea how the changes will manifest themselves and now we have no choice to let it pan out” Veronica said as she glanced at her fitness band, noting the time she brandished her best Cheshire cat grin and in a slow and deliberate voice said:
“Ken your bed time is coming up but before you turn in you should check your unread emails on your laptop, there might be an important questionnaire from the school”
