Author's note: While an anonmyous author has made a post about Harold and Melissa, it's something that I wouldn't necessarily agree with. With what Harold knows and what Melissa has been through, I would think that they would wait some time before trying to skip town. Now, if people still want to add to that thread, feel free. This thread will be for if Harold and Melissa stay put. With that said, on with the post.

Harold opened the door to see a rather shapely brunette standing at the door holding a pan of food. He could smell something chocolate in the pan. "Alice Decrux?" Harold asked.
"You remember!" she exclaimed wtih excitement. "Say, I noticed that you didn't have much food, and I thought I'd treat you and your daughter to some of my cooking."
"Oh, um, thank you. Why don't you come in?" Harold said as he motioned for her to walk in. He couldn't help notice that her hips were swaying as she walked in carrying the food. He pointed at the table and said, "Why don't you place that there?"
"Sure thing," she said as she did that. "So, you know how to cook?" she asked.
"Well, yeah, ever since my wife died, I had to learn how to cook so that Mel and I didn't starve to death. I wouldn't say that I'm some sort of Chef Ramsey, but I can do well enough in the kitchen."
"Ooooh," she said as she looked at him. "I LOVE a man who can cook."
"Well, um, it's no big deal really," he said nervously, noticing the looks that Alice was giving him. He was saved by the doorbell ring again for the second time that afternoon. He quickly walked from the kitchen to the front door to discover a shapely red head with a pan of food. He could smell tuna coming from it. "Virginia!" he said, "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I thought since you haven't gone shopping yet, you might be a bit low on food. So I made this tuna casseroll," Virginia said as she motioned to the large pan of food.
"I...I see," Harold said. He motioned for her to come in as she walked in through the door. She noticed Alice was already in the room, and her smile instantly vanished. Harold didn't notice this as he closed the door behind her. Harold turned around and noticed the two women staring at each other. "So...I take it you two know each other?"
"Alice. How good it is to see you." Virginia said through a forced smile.
"It's good to see you too," Alice responded with an equally forced smile. "How was school?"
"Good," Virginia responded. "How are things with the store?"
"Oh, we're growing. I might have to hire more people."
Harold recognized the tension in the room and said, "I'm going to go into the kitchen and cook up some green beans. It looks like you two have some catching up to do." With that, he scurried quickly to the kitchen.
The two ladies sat down across from each other while their smiles disappeared.
"He's mine," hissed Alice quietly, "I saw him first."
"Excuse me?" growled Virginia just as quietly, "He isn't just some property you can claim. Besides, I think he likes me more."
"Sure, you say that now, but wait until he becomes my mate and we start having cubs."
"Getting ahead of yourself there, aren't you? You remember the last woman to change a normal against his will. Last I heard, she's still spending time in prison."
"Oh, he'll change all right, after I seduce him with my charms."
It was at that point that Harold stuck his head out of the kitchen and said, "Is everything fine out there ladies?" Both ladies smiled and turned to him as they said in unison, "We're just fine." Harold turned back to the kitchen, and both women turned back towards their angry staring contest. "Mel," he said quietly to himself, "Where are you when I need you?"
