Well no,Hana didn't change,but nor did Chelsea return to her human
shape and over the next few hours the apparent eastern dragon
realized that unless she could reverse the change,life
was going to get tough.
When she'd first changed,she'd though she'd have eastern dragons to fly,
but no such mystical powers appeared.
So by the next day Hana got bored of staring at a powerless
eastern dragon and ran away to find a new owner.At the same time Chelsea
had been getting increasingly uncomfortable in this new skin of hers.
It was like she was pumping out the heat from a furnace
inside her and this 'pelt' that clothed her was keeping all the heat inside.
By the third day she was feeling like her insides were burning up
and by the third day the internal heat was so intense
that Chelsea took her talons and slit open the furry eastern dragon pelt
and was both relieved and horrified
when the flames gushed out as the costume slowly slipped away from a fiery hot scaly
body that Chelsea you was that of a Scandinavian firebrake
A western dragon,a flamebreather.
The release of the pent up heat from her firedrake
metabolism suddenly caused her to grow chilly immediately
and Chelsea grew lethargic and she flopped over the floor of her somewhat scorched
apartment and fell into a sleep.
She dreamed and in her dtream a firedrake stepped out of the shadows
and showed her a huge and cursed firedrakes horde that lay
buried under Chelsea's house.
The mysterious firedrake explained that the cobalt blue coin,though originally from a eastern dragoness,had ended up in her informants
horde.
Chelsea's informant laid it on the line for her.
Though Chelsea herself had never laid a claw on the cursed treasure below,the groundwater
dripping through the cursed treasure had ended up in the well that fed Chelsea's water supply.
Chelsea had bathed in the cursed water,drank the stuff and
boiled her morning eggs in it.
So naturally when the right 'push' came along,Chelsea transformed into a firedrake.
The eastern dragoness's bauble,which had somehow rolled away
from the cursed horde and ended up being found by
Chelsea in the park,hadn't actually turned her into a eastern dragoness,
but into a western firedrake who's natural evil magics
had coated her up in camaflouge and probably
prevented her natural western dragon psychology of
being evil,greedy and a bully from manifesting themselves
when the curse remade her.
The imformant then told her she was moving on,and now that Chelsea was the new
flamebreathing nasty in town,to expect trouble.
The dream ended and Chelsea found that trouble had
already found her while she lay knocked out from the cold.
Firedrakes are huge things,and though Chelsea had started small as a dog/deer,her firedrake
body had grown while she slept and the suddenly
too small room's walls had cracked and burst as the new
flamebreather expanded in all directions.
Hana certainly wasn't going to be loving this
flamebreather any time soon
