“Ty, Nate!” he said happily, sharing fist bumps with the two of them. “So glad you guys could make it! We’ve got the TV all set up in the living room and in the kitchen.” Then, a strange look came over Alex’s face. His eyes slowly looked the two of them over, a sly grin appearing on his face. He bit his lip as he looked up at their faces. He lowered his voice, “Or, you know we could always watch it up in my room. I could probably give you guys something better to watch.”
“Alex, what are you talking about?” Ty asked alarmed. He looked around in disbelief, briefly making eye contact with one of Alex’s frat brothers before looking back to Alex.
Nate was also perplexed, asking, “Are you hitting on us, man?” Alex gave him a sly grin, the grin that he’s given to every girl he’s flirted with. “You are! I didn’t know you were gay.”
“Is something wrong, fellas?” the frat brother that Ty had glanced at asked as he walked up beside Alex. Ty thought his name was Mike.
“Sometimes guys can change,” Alex said defensively.
“You’ve changed?” Mike asked Alex, looking at the latter. There was a strangely long pause before he said, “I can’t tell what has changed, but you still look good.”
“How good?” Alex asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Damn good,” Mike said. Then without either taking their eyes off on another, they walked away without a word to either Nate or Ty.
“Wait, Mike is gay too?” Nate asked. “Who else has changed like that?”
“Changed?” Ty repeated aloud. Suddenly a thought, a horrible thought, crossed his mind. He remembered the last wish he had made: This guy he was looking at would become gay. Now that meant every guy he looks at turns gay. “Oh no,” he mumbled. Nate looked at him.
“What’s wrong?” he asked. Ty refused to look at him. “Dude, are you okay?” Still nothing. “Do you know something you’re not telling me here?” A pause. “Ty, look at me!”
“I can’t!” Ty hissed.
“Why?” Nate asked.
