So started Jake and Timmy's second trip through Second Grade. It should have been easier, but they found that while they remembered being older, the skills that had come from school and life were missing.
It took a while for the two boys to get used to being little kids again, but they finally settled into reliving thier lives. Except that some things seemed to change. Timmy had gotten bitten by a mean dog when he was seven the first time, and this time around he remembered and avoided the dog and the bite. And Jake decided to try Marital Arts Classes that he had refused as a little kid - and ended up breaking his arm.
By the time the first year was ending and they were about to turn eight, both boys were comfortable with kiddie seats and cartoons. After all, they were getting closer to the time when the computer program would exist again, and they could fix all this back.
On the anniversary of their big change, Jake and Timmy had another sleepover. They didn't expect anything to happen, they just decided to make it like a birthday party. Unfortunately, it turned out to be just the opposite when they woke up in the morning.
Timmy woke up and saw Jake staring at the pictures on the wall. Kids pictures done in crayon, and signed 'Jakey'. I though you got rid of all that stuff."
Jake turned to look at him, and Timmy realized he looked different than he had last night. Still Jake, but not 8 year-old Jake. Seven year-old Jake. Timmy jumped out of bed and ran to the mirror across the room. "NO!" Just like his friend, Timmy was 7 years old again!
Jake went to the computer and checked the date. "Oh, no! We're back in time again!"
