Finally, the big day had arrived. Tom stood in front of the mirror in his apartment, admiring the tuxedo he had borrowed from his friend for his big date with Alice Stevens. He had just finished tying his bowtie around his collar when his phone vibrated, signifying someone sent him a text. He picked up the phone and read the text, which was from Alice.
EVERYTHING'S SET UP 4 DINNER. C U IN A FEW.
Tom put his phone in his pocket and walked out of his apartment, locking the door behind him. He walked down the hall, and opened the door to the stairs. After walking down 2 flights of stairs, Tom walked out of the building and into the parking lot. He unlocked his car and got in, starting it up and pulling out of the parking lot.
A mile or two down the street, Alice was waiting in her house by the kitchen table, which she had decorated with a fancy white table cloth. On each side of the table was an empty plate with silverware on each side of the plate. A glass of wine sat next to the plates, and a golden candelabra with three lit candles sat in the middle of the table. Romantic music was playing through the stereo, setting the mood.
Alice stepped back, admiring her work. She was wearing a lovely red dress, which really complimented her hourglass figure. Everything looked perfect, but she hoped that Tom would find it perfect. She had butterflies in her stomach just thinking about what she had planned. Something about him was telling her that he was the one. She needed him in her life, but the only way for that to happen was to tell Tom that she was a werevixen. That's why she set up this dinner: to tell him the truth.
Just then, the doorbell rang. Alice quickly went to the door and opened it. Standing outside was Tom in a black tuxedo. In his hand was a bouquet of beautiful red roses. "Sorry I'm late," he said nervously. "I...had to grab something...I hope you like them."
"Oh Tom, they're beautiful!" Alice said, taking the bouquet from him and sniffing the roses. "They smell lovely!" "That's not the only thing that smells great," Tom said. "Do I smell steak?"
"Freshly cooked!" Alice said. "Please, come in." Alice set the flowers in a vase and led Tom to the table, closing the door when he came in.
~~~
"Alice, that was delicious!" Tom said. "I haven't had steak like that in years!"
"I'm glad you liked it," Alice said, blushing. Alice then took a deep breath when her eyes met his. She stared into his eyes for a minute or two before they leaned in, closed their eyes, and kissed. They stayed like that for a minute before Alice backed up and opened her eyes. Tom seemed to be just as shocked as she was.
"Wow..." he said, blushing. "You're a great kisser." Alice smiled and looked at Tom. "Tom," she said. "I need to tell you something. I haven't been completely honest with you. There's something I need to show you." Alice walked into the bathroom and stayed in there for a few minutes. Tom could hear some slight grunts coming from the other side of the door.
"Okay, I'm gonna come out now!" she called. "Cover your eyes!" Tom did as he was told and covered his eyes. He heard the bathroom door open and close as Alice came out. "Okay, open your eyes." Tom removed his hands from his eyes, and his eyes widened. Standing in front of him was an anthropomorphic fox in a red dress. It had the same eye color as Alice, and a large fluffy tail swished from her back.
"A-Alice....?" he asked, slightly stuttering. "Is th-that you?" The fox nodded. "Yes Tom, it's me. I've been waiting to tell you this, and now I've finally gotten the chance. Lionel Ulysses had a tail because he was a were, like me. He was a wererat. I'm a werefox. There are hundreds of were species in the world, and I know that if I want this to happen, you needed to know the truth."
Alice hesitated for a minute before she continued. "Tom..." she said. "I love you. I want you to be with me forever, because you're the one for me. I want you to be a werefox with me Tom. Please, be my Robin Hood."
