World Reaction - Animalia Magazine

added by makutamon 6 years ago O

After the first issue of Animalia Magazine was released, there was a week waiting list until reviews could be submitted. Several of them were from surprising people, or said surprising things, or both.

The Federal Beaureau of Narcotics and the DEA liked the Ed Meanstreets comics, both for the clever use of crime noir and the educational "investigations" on how illegal drugs got to their current status. They were already asking Animalia permission to use Ed Meanstreets comics for D.A.R.E. classes, which Richard could get behind so that others could never suffered as he suffered. Both Marvel and DC Comics also liked the comics, saying that it was something fresh and new.

The medical authorities liked Animalia Magazine because it both helped debunk common medical myths and misconceptions, and reveal how dangerous "weird tricks" on the internet really were. One doctor called Animalia Magazine "the best, and least expensive, thing to happen to medicine since the Pure Food and Drug Act."

A really surprising review was from Hugh Hefner, saying that he was looking forward to the friendly rivalry that would result between Animalia Magazine and Playboy. He also liked the way that Animalia Magazine was keeping the pornographic content out of the hands of minors, a problem he had in the past once or twice.

Health and fitness magazines had effectively "welcomed" Animalia Magazine into their circle, saying that "easy changes become easier when people know it is easy." They also said that the approach the magazine took to explaining how exercising certain muscle groups would benefit people as "humorous and true." Some readers thought that "better beaning of your brother with a snowball" or "better hugging of your uncle Albert after he had his third slice of pie at Thanksgiving" were exceptionally funny.

Business magazines said that the Entrepreneur section helped people understand what entrepreneurship really was, and how to plan long term goals for their businesses. They also said that helping people understand how to start a business was the key to maintaining it long term. The Entepreneur section also included contact information so people who wanted to work for those new businesses would be able to do so.

Phoenix profiles helped people understand why they were accepted into the project, and how to deal with their new selves afterwards. The fact that the after pictures of the before and after shots showed the newly converted Animalians in "model worthy" poses only upped the number of Project Phoenix volunteers who wanted to become models, but it also inspired several top models, both male and female to help Maggie create something that was both a model studio and a modeling school. In simple, common sense, it was called the Animalia School of Modeling, which was also featured in Animalia Entepreneurship of Animalia Magazine.

What was really surprising, for readers anyway, was the lack of advertising in the magazine, but fortunately there was contact information for getting your own ad in the Magazine. It also held that the people behind Animalia Magazine, with Clara holding ultimate veto power, would choose which ads would be in the magazine.

National Geographic and Times Magazine complimented Animalia Magazine's Past, Present, and Future section, because it offered information about humanoid animals throughout history, and what could be expected next in Animalia. It was, in a way, a way to keep people interested in new things.

There also was a "Sneak Peek" section near the back that contained a kind of game/contest that gave hints for what would be included in the next issue, a contact address on the Animalia website to try to guess, and a prize where correct guesses would gain early access to a web issue before the printed issue was released. This part also included a crossword puzzle whose answers were in certain articles, and a word find puzzle for amusement during periods of boredom.

All in all, Animalia Magazine was seen as a fresh new face in magazines for people who were tired of the same old magazines. This also would help Animalia reach out to other countries, not merely America.
