As the shock of the beauty wears off, your confusion thickens. It was far too beautiful to be of anything of its kind, and rising from the ocean, where was the fertilization coming from? It had just started coming out of the Atlantic and it was already covered in a beautiful vegitation. That seemed very odd.
The coast guard had not penetrated the thickening mist that now lies behind you. In fact, you don't see anyone around, in the water or on the shore. This was a good thing, for it was just you, so far. An archaeologist's dream! Or was it a nightmare?
You guide your small yacht in for a better look. It still seemed very strange, and you also have to figure out where it came from, or what was on it. WAS. That's what you do, after all.
You see a pier, and it seems the best place to dock. When you reach it, you see how old the wooden planks are. Once you are docked, you amend that thought. This thing is ANCIENT! How has this wood survived? Or better yet, where did a dock come from, on an emerging island in the ocean? No one had built it, and this lumber should have gave out centuries ago! You decide instead to dry-dock, just in case it falls apart.
Once you have that done, you pull out your tool kit, and set out to see what this place is about. It seems strange enough, that it should be an adventure. ...and the island is still growing...
