Ruse draws closer to the counter, deciding that it is worth further inspection. As she comes near it, it comes to life, sensing her presence.
"Welcome to Grain-fusion's virtual kitchen companion, version: Sandwich-bot beta." It declared in a cheery voice. "Please declare which kind of sandwich you will like to be made."
Ruse blinked. A kitchen helper? Hardly enough to be kept under lock and key, let alone high security. There was one of these in every other house nowadays. Still, this one seemed a bit different than any other that she'd seen, if not a little primitive, so she figured she would humor it. "Uhhh... Let's do a PB&J?" She said, after a bit of thought. She actually wasn't a huge fan of it, but she didn't actually intend to eat whatever came out of it. It was more for curiosities sake, and making whoever built this thing waste materials. "Oh, but can you make that with extra peanut butter? Like, oozing out the sides. Thanks." She said playfully. Might as well see if this old tech could even follow instructions right.
There was some noise from the cupboards as the machine seemingly made her sandwich out of view, and then everything fell quiet for a bit. Ruse had almost lost interest and declared the thing broken when the voice spoke up again. "Which orifice would you like to use to ingest your sandwich?"
To which Ruse actually laughed out loud. She was starting to see why this thing was locked away in an old storage room. It was broke as hell.
"The fuck...? I'd like to ingest it through... uh..."
