The community center was the only other building close to the central plaza, so with a dampened spirit Jack started walking in its direction. The whole time he made sure to keep his senses open to any sign that one of the infected where close. You could never know how close they were, and by the time you did know it might already be too late.
He couldn't believe it... Tommy... just thinking the name brought a fresh wave of sorrow over him. So many different memories from his childhood flashed before his eyes; fishing at the lake, playing sports together, even playing truth or dare during their sleepovers.
Now it was all gone, he had seen with his own eyes that Tommy was now a Satyr. Jack knew that there was no coming back after that.
Jack soon walked around a corner and saw the community center not far in the distance. There was a makeshift checkpoint, sandbags, and many different police vehicles between him and the community center. Apparently, it had been turned into an evacuation point. Yet...
Where were the people?
Jack saw not a single sign of a person being nearby, it was deathly silent. He saw many different guns laying abandoned on the ground, white puddles of dried cum next to them. He entertained the thought of grabbing one of them, but after seeing the many different piles of spunk he decided against it. Guns obviously didn't help whoever had been defending this location.
After seeing the guns and dried cum, it didn't take long for Jack to connect that dots. Whatever the community center had been, it had been overrun. He could see the various signs of struggle and the inevitable outcome of interacting with the infected Satyrs. Still, he had to check and see if there were any survivors. There was still a chance that his parents were somewhere amidst all the ruin.
Jack walked past the overturned barricades and vehicle, before entering into the community center. It was large and spacious, with many different makeshift sections set out for people. There were clumps of baggage and personal affect littered all over the ground. Jack held down a sick feeling in his gut as he walked past a torn teddy bear, something slick dripping off its paws.
There wasn't a lot to see, beside the various sections Jack could make out a couple doorways that might lead to something, but he couldn't be sure.
Steeling himself Jack choose to...
