You are a seven-year-old boy named Timmy. You're invited to a girl's birthday party. It has boys and girls, but five girls stay for a slumber party.
During the party, you play games and eat cake. At the end of the party, the mothers are there to pick up the boys so the girls can begin their sleepover. But you are the only boy whose mother hasn't arrived yet.
The girls go into another room while you are waiting for your mom in the living room.
After thirty-minutes, your mom still hasn't arrived. One girl comes to you. You don't like girls, so you try to ignore you. But she pulls you all the way into a bedroom with the other four girls.
"Timmy," says one girl. "We want you to play house with us."
"That's a girls game," you say. You try to leave the room, but the door is locked and another girl is guarding the door.
"But this version of house is different from the one you're used to," says a different girl. "Instead of pretending who we are, we actually become what we want to be. When girls play house, they get the power to transform into whoever they want."
You think this is all too strange, but then you see one girl turning into a mother, one girl turning into a grandmother, one girl turning into a teenager, one girl turning into a cat, and one girl remaining the same.
"What do you want to be, Timmy?" asks the girl who is now a teenager.
"I don't want to be anything!" you shout.
"If you don't decide, we'll decide for you," says the girl who is the mother.
