Tachibana growled; with her cell phone ringing off the hook, preventing her from enjoying the rare moment to relax. Looking at the caller id made her scowl. Seeing it was Leon Talbot trying to get a hold of her; Tachibana sighed as the were-lion king must have found out what just transpired. She herself stunned as Sheriff Cooper called earlier to report an assault just outside of the Anderson household. Those who committed the crime already under arrest; finding Douglas Coopers request to house them in the elder council’s cells confusing, it was after that the victim was Nate Anderson and the two who tried to harm him were getting instructions via there smart phones from a number used by Jack Crawford.
“What is it Leon,” Tachibana answering her phone; imply her exasperation by forgoing a more polite greeting.
“Jack Crawford,” Leon growling; “I heard from Jean-“
“Sheriff Cooper called me earlier,” Tachibana cutting off the were-lion; “as well as Jack Johnson. My knowledge of the attack on Nate Anderson is fuzzy at the moment, but I expect to see you at the elder council tomorrow. Jack Crawford and his wife were already given scrolls to appear before us to answer for some… less than legal acts. I won’t go into the details right now,” Tachibana keeping the were-lion from talking; “but what I do know is Sheriff Cooper is enroute to Kenya Adaeze-Crawford’s residence to detain them. His deputies are keeping an eye on the roads in case Kenya and Jack try to flee town.”
Tachibana disconnects her cellphone preventing the were-lion from getting a word in. Seeing her phone ring again and it being Leon again, Tachibana does something she has never done since she had a smart phone; she turned it off.
“Daisuke, Yamato,” Tachibana looking at her grandsons; “please head over to the Talbot household. While I suspect Leon and Regina won’t do anything rash like they did with Frederick Parker recently,” Tachibana recalling the earlier events of the day and during the weekend; “however, I want some eyes on the were-lions.”
“What about the Anderson,” Daisuke getting up; “do we send anyone over there?”
“No need,” Tachibana answering; “with the deputies swarming that place and the entire Anderson family there, you’d have to be foolish and suicidal to do anything stupid right now.”

Douglas Cooper was in an ill mood as he left his home. Wanting to be with his mate Joan Morningcloud; a were-tigress that he met when his deceased cousin’s son Darrell came into his life.
“First Frederick Parker and his ilk,” Sheriff Cooper hoping into his civilian car; his police cruiser getting blown up earlier from a badly aimed rpg from one of Frederick’s men. “Now a complete stranger is keeping me from enjoying a were-wedding,” Douglas growling; “what’s next to screw up my day?”

Jack Crawford stared at his phone waiting for a response from his latest text message. The were-panther was silent in his plans for Nate Anderson. Despite bearing the werewolf no ill will, Jack felt he had a sense of duty to help his wife’s desire to get some measure of revenge against the kid. Nate’s way of ending it with Kenya, did bring the despondent were-panthress into his paws; ensuring she said yes to his marriage proposal. Jack had no qualms in having someone roughed up. Broken bones, beaten to a bloody pulp, sent to a hospital with serious injuries. Yet he would not commit or condone murder, with one exception however; Benton Knight. A fellow were-panther and majority owner of Knight Industries; Jack had a seething hatred of the man.
Benton was responsible for forcing Joseph Crawford out of the company he and Anton Knight created; thus denying Jack his birth right. Despite Jack’s plans and dealings and all the money he spent; Jack could only get himself a small stake of the Knight Industry stock. Enough to be a minority shareholder and on occasions a seat on the board. Yet Benton has always managed to keep Jack from having any say with any Knight Industry dealings.
With Jack’s latest schemes against Benton currently stymied; his attempts to delay the building of the new elementary school and bugging of Frances Twist’s office. Jack looked at his wife who was still sleeping; her announcement to run for mayor killed thanks to a reporter, outing Kenya’s past; with that planned killed, Jack knew he had to rethink his strategy. Being given a scroll by a were-fox, ordering him to appear before a council galled him. Not being from Moon Lake, Jack felt the elder’s council had no sway over him; having no intention to be in town Tuesday morning, Jack had his driver help him place Kenya into the town car. Being thankful to tinted windows and a vehicle that has a quiet engine; Jack felt confident that he would be in Seattle before the fully sun set.

Douglas Cooper pulled up to Kenya’s house; followed close behind was a deputy in a police cruiser. Knocking loudly on the door, Douglas was not surprised that no one answered. The were-grizzly growling as he and his deputy tried looking through the windows, hoping to see some evidence of someone at home.
“Could they have left already,” the deputy knocking on the door.
“I looks like it,” Douglas grumbling as he decided to see if anyone next door was home; “head over to next house and ask if anyone left in a hurry. I’m doing the same at this one,” Douglas speaking.
Douglas didn’t even bother to look to see if his deputy was following orders; the sheriff knocked on Kenya’s next door neighbor’s house, waiting to see if anyone was home and if they saw anyone leave Kenya’s house recently.
