Future plans, serious and fun

The Animalia Council had grown quite a bit since the meeting to create Animalia Ambassadoria. Now, instead of just Josephine, Daisy, Nightwing, Scales, Scarlet, Harry, Bambi, and Robbie seated at a horseshoe-shaped table, it was now a Council of twenty-five members, scattered around the major species. The room where they met was now like the primary room in the United Nations, with individual tables with linked IPads so images, data, etc. could easily be shared between council members quickly, and the founding eight members seated at a desk on a raised dias in the center of the room.

The big thing to talk about was the upcoming IAC, which was only a month and a half away. While most of the talks were about the sport events, there were some other, non-sport events discussed that were really important.

---

"You do realize that the IAC will make a tempting target for every radical terrorist group we might know of?" Asked Scarlet, bringing up something that she had read a few days back.

"More and more do we find things that sadden us about humanity." Said Harry, shaking his head sadly.

"I've already got some surprising ways of dealing with it." Said Nightwing, sending some e-mails he had received two weeks back. "We've already got both LVPD SWAT and the Department of Homeland Security promising to help with security, but we also got some surprising offers from people we didn't even know exist."

"Really? Like whom?" Asked Josephine, still getting used to her new chair.

"We got an offer of aid from both Germany's GSG-9 force, as well as Israeli special forces, and the Navy SEALS." Answered Nightwing.

"Why them?" Asked Robbie.

"Germany probably wants to help us out because of what happened at the Munich Olympics." Said Scarlet, off-handedly. "Israel wants to help out because they are the most experienced at fending off terrorists, and the Navy SEALS feel obliged to help as part of an outreach program by the government."

"There is that," replied Nightwing, "but they've also given us offers to help train our own police officers in counterterrorism."

---

"One of the things we are definitely going to do is stagger the arrivals." Said Robbie an hour later, "We've already got more than ten million people showing up, and that's just the three tiers of Preorder Packages."

"Aye yes," said an Irish sheepdog who was new to the council, "we can't have too many people clogging up the airports. Our own simply can't handle it."

What was decided on initially was that people with cheaper preorder packages would have to arrive at least two weeks beforehand, while those who had Premium Preorder Packages, could show up at least one week beforehand.

There were also plans to arrange special busses and trains to accommodate the crowds. These special busses and trains would be indicated by the official logo of the IAC: a globe encircled by a human hand on one side and an Animalian hand on the opposite, with the full name and motto beneath it.

---

One of the places to have highest security would be Horizon Light Hospital, especially the research labs and the Maternity wards. The athletes participating in the games would only have slightly less security because they didn't want the Animalia Virus to fall into the wrong hands, or have newborn Animalians kidnapped for various purposes, ransom not the only one.

There was also plans to double the number of Skye-Eye units active at the time of the IAC. This was necessary to make the ground forces jobs easier, both for their own police forces, as well as the 'visitors'.

---

The final thing that was discussed was what souvenirs would be distributed at the IAC. Besides the usual joke t-shirts (My parents went to the International Animalia Convention and all they got me was this lousy t-shirt.), mugs,, knickknacks, and artwork, there were also some amusing books planned, such as "What Happens When I'm Sick?" (which was designed to help explain to young children how a body fights off infection via cartoon artwork, and better ways on staying healthy), and "What Country am I from?" (which was an early childhood book to explain different countries and how they were different from others.).

There was also an amusing book planned that had political cartoons that associated with Animalia. There was a brief prelude that helped explain what certain things in political cartoons meant. One of the very first ones was a showing of a trucker fixing a flat tire, not noticing that his accident had released the Animalia Virus, represented by a miniature cityscape emerging from the broken barrel, into the environment. Another amusing one was two members of the Greys aliens looking over Animalia from a UFO and one of them saying, "If only we got a similar treatment at Roswell." A third one showed a deformed donkey and similarly deformed elephant in three-piece suits (symbolically representing the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively) glaring at seemingly perfect, muscular donkey and elephant Animalians doing bodybuilding poses while miniature humans were crowding around them clamoring for attention and ignoring the deformed ones, and saying "If only we were like them.".

While there was a lot of things accomplished for the IAC, there was still a lot of work to do.
