Andrew sat down in front of Mr. Ericson. He smelled the cigarette smoke coming from the stout man. "So kid, do you have any experience with the circus?" He asked, examining the Andrew. "No sir." "Tell me then, how does someone like you seek a job offer at a circus without experience?" "Well I didn't know that today I was going to be a clown. It's a surprise to me," Andrew replied. "Ah so your a forced clown. I understand now. We have plenty of young kids who were turned into clowns and joined up because it's the only place they could fit. Tell you what, we've got a specialist to help you. You work with her, and you're in. Deal?"
Andrew wasn't sure. He was going to leave behind his old life, even though it wasn't all that good. "Deal," Andrew replied back. Ericson reached for his phone, "Yeah it's me. Is Missy in? Great tell her to pick up the clown outside my office." He hung up the phone as stood up. "Welcome to the circus kid." Andrew stood up in excitement. "Thank you so much." Andrew ran outside and stood out there for a few minutes.
He saw Betty tending to the animals and he waved to her. "Hey stranger," she waved back, "you get in?" "Yeah, I'm working with someone he says." "Great see you soon!" Betty left and a woman in a black dress with white flower patterns approached Andrew. "Hi! I'm Missy the specialist come with me."
Andrew followed Missy to a secluded office in the back. There was a bed in the middle strippednf its sheets. "Lay down," Missy said. So Andrew did and saw a TV screen looking down at him. Then a spiral of black and white appeared on the screen.
"Just relax kid. Feel relaxation wash up you. Now you're getting tired. So tired your eyelids are growing heavy and you will soon sleep. When I snap my fingers you will fall asleep but listen to me." Andrew fell asleep on the bed. "Now, since you have no experience as a clown we will change that. When you wake up you will no longer remember your old life. You've always been a clown and worked in various circus'. You will wake up as an experienced clown who knows how to do tricks, ride a unicycle, tie balloons, etc. and your name will be Aslow the Clown.
Now wake up." Andrew, now Aslow, shot up. His head began to hurt as memories of his old life faded away and he remembered his circus life. He loved being a clown and remembered how he met Betty and fell in love with her. "Now what's your name kid?" Missy asked. "I'm Aslow the clown!" Andrew exclaimed.
