You look at the hologram of these aliens, and they don't look terrible. Granted, they have orange horns and grey skin, but they're otherwise completely humanoid. Except for... wow, what is even going on down there? You don't even have words for their strange genitalia. Concerned, you ask, "How safe is this entire procedure? Have you done this to other people?"
"Other subjects of your species have been successes and failures."
"What happens to the failures?"
"Failures are removed and corrected."
"Show me what they look like now." The blue cylinder moves down a hallway and you follow it until you reach the end of the hall. The hall is separated by a blue forcefield, but you can see inside. Inside are several beds like in a hospital; each beds holds a creature in varying degrees of closeness to what you saw they were supposed to look like. In one bed is someone who looks almost exactly as you'd expect minus the orange horns. She doesn't have any. In another bed is a pile of misarranged arms, legs, a head, and a torso. The last bed holds only a pile of grey flesh with orange horns jutting out in random places. All of them appear to be in a coma or something of the sort. Curiously, you ask, "Why not use them?"
"These subjects have shown no signs of improvement for many rotation cycles."
"Will that happen to me?"
"The likelihood of your genetic correctness in the transformation is approximately 74.8729036%" You think to yourself about becoming an alien, worse-so ending up genetically incorrect. Your worried thoughts are interrupted by an itch on your scalp and your hands becoming grey.
