You cough again and cover your mouth. You feel an intense pain flow through your body, like you'd just stuck your finger in an electrical socket. In such a state of panic, you bite down on your tongue and expect it to hurt but you are surprised when it is your teeth that hurt and not your tongue. You pull a make up compact out of your purse and open your mouth and you see that your tongue is now a silver color and looks like it was dipped in metal. What worries you the most is that you can see it spreading up the roof of your mouth and down your esophagus.
You decide that it is definitely a good time to head home before anyone sees you. You figure it won't be long before the strange metal in your mouth spreads to more noticeable parts of your body.
You start heading back out of the park but you seem to have trouble finding your way back. You begin wandering down random paths looking for an exit to this park. Thoughts of escape were easily dismissed when you looked down at your fingernails and see that they have turned a shiny silver. You pull your mirror out again and look at your face and see that the strange metal has now covered your lips and is joining up with other streams of metal that flow out of your eyes and your nose. You touch the metal with your right hand by poking it with a finger and you see the metal on that fingernail join with the metal on your face and it increase in speed and soon the whole tip of your forefinger is covered in the metal before your able to pull it away. Your beginning to feel very tired now. You stumble down the paths in the park a little longer before your feel like your going to pass out. You sit down next to a tree and pull out your mirror one last time. You see that the metal has covered your entire face and now you look like a silver sculptured face. Somethings are different about you though. You don't remember your cheekbones being that high or your nose that small. Your eyes look like pure silver orbs and you wonder how your able to see through them. It has also traveled up your legs from your toenails and down them from your pelvis. The metal had also grown up your stomach and seemed to be joining the streams from your face and your arms and centering on your breasts. As things become even darker you see that small lights are beginning to emerge where your eyebrows used to be and your hair now looks like someone had turned every strand of your hair into a glow stick. Buttons and switches begin appearing all over your body and then you pass out.
