{{Yes folks, Moon Lake, Tad has already reached the Halloween Dance Saturday night, but this thread IS approaching the wedding that takes place before that.—tmw.}}
"Are you ready?" Jennifer Harper asked herself.
"As ready as I'll ever be," Jennifer Harper replied. "What about you?"
"Sure am!" exclaimed Jennifer Harper.
"Let's become Mrs. Harry Jenkins and kick Dieter Wilhelm's ass!" proclaimed Jennifer Harper.
Jennifer Harper was still sound asleep in her werevixen fursona, occupying her dorm room bed at Moon Lake College.
Yet, Jennifer Harper was also literally beside herself in that ethereal "dream-scape", for lack of a far more accurate term.
Here, there were three distinctive Jennifer Harpers conferring with each other.
The first was the one sound asleep, but she was currently in her human form. Or at least, the way she looked now, which was much more physically beautiful than the second Jennifer Harper. This one was a manifestation of how the young college student looked before she was scratched by the rogue werevixen Yvette Smith and turned into the third Jennifer Harper, the voluptuous vixen that was currently asleep in the dorm room bed.
"Everything's as prepared as it can be," the first Jennifer announced to the others. "We have the full support of the Skulk, the police, all our closest friends and even the town itself," she said with a smile.
"Good," agreed her other two selves, practically in unison.
"We've come a long way to reach this point," observed the Plain Jane Jennifer, who always thought her odds were extremely low of even beating Olive Oyl in a beauty contest.
"Yet we've still a ways to go," said the Foxy Jennifer, pointing out the fact that the road they were now standing on bordered the edge of an approaching storm.
"Dieter Wilhelm and our family," realized the Sleeping Jennifer.
"Yes. Security will handle the first quite capably," said Plain Jane Jennifer. "But the rest are our problem."
"Especially dad," said Foxy Jennifer.
"Especially dad," agreed the other two, thinking about the uncaring, greedy patriarch of the Harper family that would marry off his oldest daughter without even consulting her feelings on the subject because the man "knew best" and that hopefully Dieter Wilhelm would share some of his family's wealth with the Harpers once a marital connection was established.
Jennifer Harper's mother was at best a battered woman after years of emotional abuse and being shown how a woman should really be treated. There would be little or no support coming from her.
The Harper siblings may not be able to give much assistance either. Jennifer's older brother would be supportive, even if he couldn't stand up to challenge their father. Like Jennifer, he had used college as a means of escape, and would soon be graduating to a good paying job somewhere far from their Alabama home.
It was her younger brother and sister, still minors by any definition of the law, that Jennifer Harper worried about the most. If they turn out like dad and mom, I'll never forgive myself.
"How are you two actually doing?" Sleeping Jennifer asked her counterparts.
Plain Jane and Foxy looked at each other. Then, after each grabbed one of Sleeping Jennifer's hands, they tried to grab their respective free hands.
"Almost there," Foxy said, as the tips of her paw fingers came tantalizingly close to touching those of Plain Jane's hand.
"We're much stronger now. The bonds between us have grown tremendously as our physical and mental wounds have healed," observed Plain Jane, noting that the minute gap between their hands was now barely large enough to slip a thin piece of paper through.
"Used to be, we couldn't get this close, but the wedding's still the ultimate test," Foxy reminded the others. "Get Dieter Wilhelm dealt with and out of our lives once and for all and tell father to either accept the new, independent modern Jennifer Harper or stay in Alabama for the rest of his unnatural life!"
"If he and the rest of the Harpers do abandon us, we have friends and family here," said the Sleeping Jennifer confidently.
"We know," replied the other two, while smiling at their counterpart.
"Now, you better get some sleep young lady," said Plain Jane Jennifer in her best motherly voice. "You've got a big day ahead of you tomorrow."
"And an even bigger night too," said Foxy Jennifer, as a smile crossed her vulpine muzzle.
Then Plain Jane and Foxy took turns hugging Sleeping Jennifer.
"You go get them girl!" said Foxy.
"We're behind you all the way!" added Plain Jane.
And in her dorm room bed, a smile crossed the vulpine muzzle of the sleeping Jennifer Harper.
