Genie, a being brought into existence modeled after a Robin Williams character in a cartoon, worked for hours on end to figure out a way to cover all the nuances of the wish his new master wished. Yes, a normal jinn would let chaos ensue but Genie was the loving, compassionate, and caring character that related to his master and earnestly wanted to give him what he claimed he desired, despite the countless loopholes and nearly endless interpretations.
For hours Genie compulsively reviewed the existence he was in, all that happened, and what his master said he wanted. He diagrammed and pondered how different interpretations of his wishes would play out, and he perfected the precise changes to maximize his master's overall satisfaction levels... long term. Here is what he came up with:
During the cold war the U.S. government had been testing chemically augmenting soldiers in preparation for WWIII to break out. Though somewhat successful they found that teens were significantly more receptive to the drug. During the 80's as tensions escalated, the government restructured the school systems, making it mandatory that pre-teen males take this chemical augmentation "booster" with the normal public school shots which rocketed them through the puberty process with almost only positive side effects. The shot was not deemed "safe" for females as it forced a rapid release of their eggs and in many cases caused infertility. The hyper-pubescent boys were separated from the girls and sent to something similar to a significantly more structured military-esque school. It was a 14 hour long day including 3 physical training classes. Breakfast, lunch. and dinner were provided. This produced an extra half a generation worth of very able bodied men and workers, or soldiers should the government so need... After the end of the cold war, nearly a decade later, the new structure had been established and the benefits of 14 hour workers was clear. The practice continued and allied, then other, countries followed suit.
In this new world males are boosted at 8 and have a shorter but very intense puberty. 6 month checkups are common through this age 14 at which time they are essentially 20 year-olds as their natural aging process is more than doubled. Anomalies such as marked shortness or extreme height is dealt with via additional hormone shots leaving 99% of males between 5'9 and 6'2.
The hyper puberty shot takes people to physical and mental maturity, leaving them somewhere between a "natural age" of 28 and 35 by the time they are 18 to 20. The legal age for males who received the shot has been reduced to be 14, who by that time, are generally, physically and mentally adults. (equivalent to 20+ year olds) Men now appear to stagnate at this mid 20 to mid 30 range for decades before they show additional signs of aging. Habits formed during the teenage years, (like staying active and working 14 hours) stick significantly better with the "boosted" groups, some say it is because their body thinks they did it 3-4 times as long biologically, others claim brainwashing.
With the "school" system completely monopolizing the male youths time, and covering all food, crime and delinquency diminished significantly from the mid 80's on. Likewise, the gender segregation reduced teen pregnancy and shows like Maury never became a hit.
