Loki said, "Since I missed the toast, let's do that again. Go ahead and get back in your seats."
John and Jennifer moved back into their places at the center of the head table and Dan stood up.
John looked at Dan his best friend of 10 years and business partner and was truly afraid for his friend. They had been roommates in college and had worked together after graduation starting their own accounting firm. It had been Dan who had introduced him to Jennifer.
Dan found his note cards and began to read his speech the same way he had done only moments before Loki had arrived and brought with him total chaos.
Dan said, "Johnny and I met in college as Sophomores. He and I roomed together all through college. I could tell you some stories about this guy..." but right where Dan should have talked about their first encounter with a professor that would eventually become their mentor, Dan's story changed.
"...we both had some fun at school but when Johnny lost his academic scholarship and I tore my ACL we both needed a way to score some extra cash..."
John looked at Dan as new memories began to flood into his mind and compete with his history of academic success and affluence.
"Johnny and I started making videos in the dorm to pay the bills. First it was just jerking for the camera but then it became a lot more. You all know that Johnny is one of the biggest dicks you could ever meet..." this joke caused a chuckle from the crowd. "but he really could play it up for the camera. We began to do regular sessions with him on top and this got us a lot of attention from the industry. We both became so popular that many companies began to offer us contracts..."
Once again, John began to remember scenes he filmed with his best friend. He remembered dropping out when the money got good and moving to West Hollywood to star in larger films.
"We really busted our asses. Well, mostly mine..." this joke drew another set of laughs. "...but we ended up becoming popular enough to start our own website. Our site became one of the biggest in the biz and we were able to scout talent from all over the world and that's where we met Jennifer. I called her in and after seeing the way that she worked with two of our leads, I knew that she would be perfect for Johnny."
Now John was remembering the first time he and his wife met. It wasn't at an after work social. She and he had caught eachother's attention under the hot lights of a seedy set in a house in West Hollywood.
"After that, he only wanted to work with her. It was love at first sight. Since then, he's saved his dick almost exclusively for her but that means that I've had a chance to pitch some new ideas his way..." this statement and the raised eyebrows Dan made gave no doubt of the change in roles that their relationship has created.
"All kidding aside, though, to Johnny and Jennifer," he said, turning to face the bride and groom and raising his glass, "I thought you were perfect for each other from Day One, and I wish you all the best, and a long, happy life together."
There was a general murmur of agreement throughout the room. John, the groom, stood up to shake the best man's hand and then pulled him into a tight hug, then Jennifer stood up so she could give him a long kiss.
As they stepped back, Johnny realized the true extent of the changes that had occurred. Dan was now a much more toned and muscular version of himself and his wife was nowhere to be seen. Seated next to him was one of the actresses from their studio. Johnny and Kim's family had all but vanished and surrounding them were close friends they'd met through years of different porn sets.
Their history had been completely written over by Loki's changes to Dan's speech. He looked down at the thing he wore and noticed that it had stretched more both from the tight embrace from one of his biggest working relationships and from Dan's comment about his size. Kim's face was more heavily made up and her dress was scandalously short.
He glanced around the room and saw that everybody there looked less polished than before. The small wine bar hard morphed into a fully stocked open bar.
He looked at the wedding cake in the corner of the room and noticed that it was now topped with two figures that were obviously fucking with the female figure riding in a reverse cowgirl position.
"Change us back!" Johnny shouted at the trickster.
