Jeff looked around the small dressing area quickly. None of the women in there gave him, or rather her, a second look. Given the body that the Chronovac had given her, she looked just like a model.
Giving up on the dressing room, Jeff left and started looking around on the convention floor. Nikki had to be out here somewhere...
Something slammed hard into her and sent her flailing to the floor. She fell hard on her butt and flat onto the floor. "Hey! Watch it!" she yelled.
She looked up to see a sheepish lookng young man offering her his hand. "I'm really sorry around that, let me help you up."
She took his hand, feeling the solid grip and he effortlessly lifted her off the floor. "It's not problem, really."
He smiled, "Let me make it up to you, let me buy you lunch."
Jeff smiled despite himself, "No, that's okay..."
He smiled a little broader, "I insist. My names Carl."
Jeff paused a moment, "Janet," he lied. She thought quickly. She couldn't find Nikki in this crowd anyway, and for that matter, how was she going to explain how her brother was now a drop-dead gourgeous woman? Better to find her at home later. In the meantime, she was hungry. "Okay, lead the way."
Carl put his arm over her shoulder and led her out of the crowded convention hall and into the street. Jeff was a little surprised that the fact that a mans arm was over her shoulders didn't bother her, but strangly enough, she felt comfortable, even safe like this.
As soon as lunch was over, Jeff was going to have to find his sister and get back to normal!
