Just before the sun started setting, Juliet met up with her friend, and the two used their tickets to gain entrance to the large circus. Kayla was so excited to be here with her, so Juliet feigned excitement while she looked towards the place where she first encountered the strange clown and to her shock, she saw the same clown...and he or it was standing there, still as ever. But Juliet looked closer and noticed that it wasn't just looking off into the distance or the crowd of people; no she could tell that the creep from yesterday was looking at her and Kayla.
This slightly unnerved the girl but felt a stronger sense of courage than before, probably due to the fact that she was with a friend and standing at least five feet away from him.
Juliet pondered weather she should tell her friend about what happened the other day but decided against it; the story would probably sound silly to Kayla and now that she thought of it, the clown really didn't do anything scary. Creepy, sure, but all he really did was make a shhhing motion towards her, but that wasn't any cause for the sense of fear to she felt that day, and the sense of worry the raven haired girl felt now.
Juliet quickly redirected Kayla and her twards one of the many rides, trying not to lead on that she was trying to get as far away as she could from that particular corner.
Three or so hours later and Juliet almost forgot about the other day; but whenever she saw a clown she would well up with discomfort and worry, which she didn't understand,
"I'm not afraid of anything, there just people with face paint" she tried to assure herself.
But the tough-girl persona she had built up for some years now began to slowly melt all of a sudden, leaving her emotional and sensitive self vulnerable to the world she had tried to keep at a distance.
Why was this going on? Why did she feel this way? Was it; fear? "No!" Juliet told herself, "I'm not weak, I'm not some timid child, and I am NOT afraid!" She spoke in her head.
An hour into their fun Kayla had noticed her best friend slightly tremble and her breath becoming ever so slightly haste and forced.
"Hay Juliet are you alright? You seem kind of...off" she asked kindly.
"W-what? No, I'm fine. I think I just ate a little too much food and that rollar coaster isn't helping" she said Andrade an exaggerated expression as if she were sick.
"Well lets go find a bathroom, just in case" her strawberry blonde haired friend chucked.
"No I'm fine, besides, I'm tougher than I look" Juliet responded,
"Then you must be invincible because you look pretty scary, no offense" Kayla replied back,
"none taken, I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't" she said smugly.
After about 4 hours of games and rides, the two girls walked twards the circus exit. As they passed the corner where she saw the clown, worry flooded her systems, but it passed once they were out of the parking lot and headed twards home.
"Good night!" Kayla shouted as they parted after arriving at the dark haired girl's house,
"You too, K!" Juliet yelled back and went inside for some well deserved sleep.
