Now as we all know Alex's aunt is
Doctor Sarah Quartermass,world renowned mermaid
marine biologist and geneticist who had pioneered the technology those wondrous pills are based on.
Which meant that even though Alex was playing with her body,that was a body yearning to
sprout gills,fish scales ,fins and a tail.
So Aunt Sarah,wondering hadn't come down to breakfast that morning ,went up to
'his' room and found the 12 year old girl staring in horror at her
tiny swelling breasts and obvious female private parts.
The first wave of estrogen and other hormones had receded and Alex
was getting to realize 'he' was still female,rather then male as other
boys at Upper School
had told him after half a day.
Its not like Alex was the only 12 year old boy to have taken
those pills and experiences the pleasures ( and sometimes horrors) of being a girl for
a few hours.
Except the few hours had already come and gone and according to
his friends at Upper School,SHE should have reverted to being a HE
by now.
So in walked Dr Sarah Quartermass to discover her nephew
was trying out the female body type.
She immediately walked over to the empty pill bottle to check it out.
Over the last twenty years Sarah had been owed a fortune in
royalties on the patents that had created these pills,and generally
had been stiffed by the Chinese pharmaceutical industry.

So the good Doctor examined the pill bottle.
They were a low grade rip off off her much superior prototypes and she knew with this type Alex would be a guy again in about a week or two.
"Where'd you get this?" she asked the shocked sobbing girl
"Terra gave them to me,she said she bought them at that Five and Dime Med Store that just openned
a month ago in the old abandoned Mall.
"Tsk tsk tsk" said Sarah,who was memorizing
some of the manufacturers data printed on the bottles label
"I'm afraid that this is a poorly made copy of what I invented
twenty years ago.I think
we'll have to...."
