Jared drew furiously, he drew a big shiny black ring shaped raft with anthropomorphic dog torso, the dog-headed, human chested and armed pool toy was shiny black except for the whites of its eyes, its red tongue, and the dog collar around its neck with a gold sun shaped dog tag. Jared tentatively touched a toe into his illustrated raft to make sure it really was solid, but just then the electric black liquid overwhelmed his bed. So Jared leapt into the raft praying it would hold.
"That's my boy!" said another young man in another apartment, as he watched the forementioned tableau unfold on his laptop. He adjusted the black hood on his head, and scratched his hairy chest as he leaned forward to make out more details as Jared started to drift away. Maybe he could remotely toggle the view from the desktop camera? He thought Jared's latest manga or anime was surreal. He had really out done himself.
"Ah, Sunshine, if you only knew," laughed a shadowy figure unseen and unheard by either lad, as he leaned with his legs and arms crossed against the corner of the watcher's bedpost, and the corner bookcase against the dresser in the flooded room. He hadn't had this much fun since that forest with the idiot and the donkey's head. Hm, maybe he had a thing about humans with animal heads? He shrugged at that thought.
Jared reached for the doorknob, and bracing a foot against the door jamb, he pulled. For a moment nothing, then the door lurched, and the liquid streamed through the opening pushing the door open and propelling Jared backward on his raft. Almost immediately as the shiny black liquid gushed down the hall, the dog headed raft spun around and was swept down the corridor with its human cargo.
It was an amazing terrifying ride as Jared watched the walls and furnishings of his home become drawings as the liquid came in contact with them. He grabbed a photo off the wall and stared at his image toonified. Only as he realized that his hands felt odd, did he realize the wet picture frame had changed his hands into toon hands. He threw the photo away and it disappeared in the rising black tide. He was headed to the main door, it would lead out into the street.
