Animalia Ambassadoria: Interviews at the Museum

added by Alphagor 6 years ago O

"Hello and welcome to a brand new episode of Animalia Ambassadoria," said Jessica, "We're back at Mieni Atoll for the grand opening of the Nautical Museum."

"Plenty of familiar faces here," said Sarah, "You'll be seeing them as well as the main exhibit: the Mieni Atoll Kraken."

--

"Starting off with what everyone's wanting to see: the giant squid," said Abby, showing the huge cephalapod inside its amber case, "Boy, I'd hate to be in the water at the same time as that thing."

"Fortunately, the giant squid rarely leaves the ocean's twilight zone," said Jessica, reading from a pamphlet, "Interactions between giant squids and humans are very rare. Which is one of the reasons we know so little about them."

"Well, I don't think we're likely to find out anything more," said Abby, "Considering squids are invertebrates, they can't be uplifted."

"Maybe we could learn more from sperm whales," said Jessica.

"I wouldn't count on it," said Abby, "Whales bigger than orcas are probably TOO big for the virus to effect. Besides, what would sperm whales know more about giant squids besides how to eat them?"

"I guess so," said Jessica.

"So, how have you been, Topanga?" asked Sophie.

"I've been doing well," said Topanga, "I've been trying to build up a local chapter of the Green Glacier Adventure Clan, but recruitment has been slow. When vacationers come here, they're more interested in fun in the sun than playing tabletop games. But now that the IAC is over, I've been trying to get the obstacle course converted into an area for LARP players. It might spark some more interest."

"And how are the sea turtle eggs?" asked Roland.

"Oh, we've had several eggs hatched already and returning the ocean," said Topanga, "There are still some more nests that still need to incubate. But it will be some years before the Pacific population is more well-rounded."

"And let's not forget Mieni's biggest celebrities, Susan and Tzan," said Malice. Susan waved cheerfully at the camera. Tzan just gave a small grunt and a small waving gesture at the camera. "So, how are you girls doing with your boyfriends?" asked Malice.

"Brazen is a good listener," said Tzan. There was actually a small smile on her face as she said that.

"Chipper is the best!" said Susan giddily, "He knows the funniest stories from the U.S. He should take me there so I can see how fun Animalia's hometown is." She gasped before saying to Tzan, "We should totally double-date there."

"I like being by the sea more," said Tzan, "You might be a mammal, but I'm still a saltwater fish."

"So where are Brazen and Chipper anyways?" asked Sarah.

"Chipper's covering us for lifeguard duty while we're here and Brazen is over there filming you," said Tzan, pointing.

Sarah and Malice looked in that direction with surprise to see Brazen holding a camcorder. "Yo," he said, waving a little.

"Crossover ep!" shouted Susan before doing her rather infamous dolphin cackle. Her high-pitched sounds made the Wesley sisters wince and lower their ears. "So, you been talking about us, now let's talk about you. What are you guys gonna do now that the IAC is over?"

"Well, I think Abby might be trying for one of the sports teams at the new Animalia school, Jessica said something about joining the science club. Or maybe it was the drama club. I forget which," said Sarah.

"Sadly, Simon's gonna be away a lot of the time at that police academy," said Malice with a pout. But she perked up and said, "But without so many people hogging the training rooms, now we can start training for the next big competition."

"You mean the next IAC? Isn't that two years from now?" asked Susan.

"No, the Miss Zodiac competition of 2018," said Sarah.

"But that's still several months away," said Tzan.

"There's going to be a lot more competition for the Year of the Dog than there was for the Year of the Rooster," said Malice, "We're gonna need as much preparation as we can get."

"We don't have to get really crazy about training for it right now," said Sarah, "Mostly we're trying to stay in shape. When it gets to the end of the year, THEN we'll be training like mad."

"Anything else you wanna talk about?" asked Susan.

"Well, Travis is still training to be a firefighter. Though I'm not really sure where the closest academy for that is around here," said Sarah.

"I'm sure he won't have to go too far," said Malice.

"Well, I think that's enough for crossover," said Susan, "Catch you guys in the reviews section."
