"No, we are not going to fight. Not here, not now." Isaac looked at the naked paladin and sighed. Turning around to assess their surroundings Isaac suddenly gasped as a large force impacted his back. Turning around to face the paladin with the dimming palms with a snarl Isaac bristled in anger. His ice fur puffing up in response making him look bigger.
"For my god, my king and whats left of my dignity I will kill you monster!" He screamed as he took aim.
"Ferio Percello!" He screamed as a blinding bolt of light flew from his palms and struck Isaac. Howling from shock and slight pain Isaac gasped. The energy that was thrown at him warped into his vines and suddenly dissipated.
"Wha.. what!" The assailant shrieked in outrage. Isaac shrugged off the feeling of discomfort and snarled hard. Lunging at him Isaac pinned him to the wet floor. It froze into ice and stuck to the paladin.
Mind hot with rage Isaac growled out a warning.
"Weak paladin, how foolish you had acted," Isaac grinned at his terror. His mind reeled in anger at the audacity for this paladin to attack without good reason. "Hear this, you will follow me to the source, or you will be left frozen here. Choose wisely." Isaac leapt off the paladin stood up.
The paladin was shivering with fear and cold. Not deciding to pity him Isaac decided to rest instead.
The moment he closed his eyes a brief flashback occured within his mind, and Isaac suddenly knew everything about that man.
His name had been Ilvir and he was bit by a corrupt wolf. As time passed the paladin lost his heart to desperation. Following the promises whispered into his mind Ilvir had found humans before he had been fully corrupted. He followed the promise of freedom should he spread the corruption. He didnt. Slaughtering the adventurers and fucking them in mindless lust made him deranged. Later on his mind succumbed, corrupted to the fullest.
Jerking at the flashback Isaac felt like he knows everything about Ilvir now. Wariness filled Isaac. Ilvir was prideful, and arrogant. Should he know that Isaac adorns the Ring of Purity there would be no doubt that he would attempt to steal it in any way possible. Explaining that he is indeed another newly turned paladin would cause Ilvir as to how he kept sane, leading to the Ring.
It is best that Isaac lies. For his mission none should impede it. Consequences be damned. Even if he couldn't return to his human life, at least he would be known as the one who had stopped it.
Staring at Ilvir made Isaac feel disgusted. At least he could be bait.
